Bangor University School Health Sciences is offering an exciting opportunity for an aspiring or experienced passionate Clinical Practitioner to join our team on a permanent full time basis. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of communications skills and physical examinations skills to students. Working across the College of Medicine and Health you will be responsible for leading the development, organisation and delivery of innovative approaches to simulated learning and clinical skills for all health programmes. As an expert practitioner, it is expected that you will have experience in running clinical simulations and supporting staff and students using your skills to create a safe learning environment based on sound pedagogical foundations to ensure our students have a first-class learning experience.
Candidates will have current professional registration (on the appropriate part of the register) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council or Health and Care Professions Council. Candidates will also possess a degree in a relevant subject area.
The School of Sciences is an interprofessional school which sits within the College of Human Sciences and provides medical, health and care education and research at Bangor University. The School works in partnership with health, social and educational care providers through well established links to enable a total clinical and academic experience to be provided for students. The School offers a career-spanning portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and short courses for health and care and allied professionals. The School comprises over 200 staff, delivering to more than 1300 students from across the health and medical professions. The School’s portfolio of professional programmes continues to expand, with new programmes in Dental Hygiene and Pharmacology commencing soon, with a programme in pharmacy currently in development.

Main duties and responsibilities Takeresponsibility, for the management of a complex caseload, which includes, specialist assessment (within service specification), care planning in conjunction with service user and carer, evaluation of individual treatment plans Responsible for participating in the setting of quality standards, including the auditing, monitoring and reviewing of practice in line with current clinical guidance practice and policy. Administer medication,complying with relevant Trust procedures and NMC Guidance. Assess patient's individual care needs, develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care. Deliver a range of interventions in accordance with the agreed plan of care and Pathway guidance including; pharmacological and psychologically informed interventions. Complete and contribute, where appropriate to robustrisk assessments and risk management plans. Deliver and promote positive risk taking, where appropriate, to improve quality of life and maximise occupational performance/independence. Maintain an effective reporting system by observing and reporting verbally and in writing on patient conditions. Utiliseagreed outcome measures to review the effectiveness of interventions, as part of the care planning and evaluation process. Participate in the developmentof the service to ensure clinical governance processes are actively implemented at team level. Assist in ensuring that the aims and objectives of the ward/department (as set by the responsible nurse) are fulfilled and to identify factorswhich may inhibit these from being achieved. We have an home based opportunity for a skilled and motivated Referral Unit Advisor to join our team.

Working in an administrative capacity you will work in the Referral Unit within the east Kent locality taking calls and emails from Acute Trusts, GPs and patients in the community. The role will be to process the referral and refer to the relevant team in a timely manner focusing on the patient experience.

Patient engagement and quality of administration are paramount in this role. Patients are at the heart of what we want all of our team to share in that ethos.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician to join our expanding and friendly pharmacy department on a 2-year fixed term training post. Learn while you earn!

As a Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician apprentice, you will undertake an approved Level 3 or level 4 qualification (dependant on knowledge provider). As the programme is delivered as an apprenticeship, you will be expected to spend time in the workplace and 20% off the job learning. Our Training:

Part of our training is via eLearning, however we know eLearning alone won’t equip you for the emotional challenges that you will face as a Care Assistant. So, in 2015 we created our own training academy! All team members within our care home are included in our fun, interactive, inspiring, unique, and free training days – and you get paid. Through our own training days, we have seen the wellbeing of team members and the people we support and care for increase enormously.

Our training is for all team members across all grades, all departments, all age groups, and all genders.
