Work throughout 2025 on a project-by-project basis.

Role and Responsibilities


Visiting retailers and using detailed planograms to update the stand (attention to detail)
Moving and installing new parts around and resequencing stock according to a new planogram
Changing over the visuals/graphics
Maintaining the stand, keeping it looking fresh for customers that visit the store
Travelling to your depot* for kit collection, which is paid time.

Duties:

An MT/CLS at this level develops, performs, evaluates, interprets, correlates, and validates the accuracy of laboratory procedures and results. The Registered Nurse Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for facilitating educational activities related to CPRS, VISTA, and BCMA, and RQI. Responsible and accountable for the development and delivery of Patient Care Service staff development and education programs. Responsible for the orientation of new employees, evaluation of their progress in the orientation process, and for developing and implementing teaching strategies for the various staff needs. The unit-based Clinical Nurse Educator will assume responsibility for the initiation and completing annual staff competencies for 60+ staff in the Emergency Department.

The Clinical Nurse Educator will actively participate in, and lead workshop/continuing education programs designed for career advancement as well as function in classroom teaching environments, clinical arenas, and as a group facilitator during training and implementation of changes in nursing practice and procedure. Participation and leadership in new grad and student internship programs. The Clinical Nurse Educator employs and engages a broad range of in-depth knowledge and skills in education theory and application, career development, leadership, and program management. Proficient in addressing dynamic issues such as globalization, practice environments, evidence-based practice, and nursing and healthcare technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years successful nursing practice.
• Prior teaching experience including formal and informal educational programs or equivalent.
• Documented excellence and experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
• Documented evidence of successful professional nursing practice in progressively complex positions/levels.
• Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal skills (written and oral communication) and collaboration with other disciplines.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Conducting an equipment management program that meets current The Joint Commission (TJC) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) requirements. The breadth of technology is less than is typically present at a tertiary care and/or university-affiliated institution.

2. Assuring the provision of a continuing education program for clinical staff addressing the principles and application of medical instrumentation used in the delivery of healthcare. This requires skill to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of individuals, including technical and professional clinical staff, to communicate technical information.

3. Managing a recall and safety alert program for medical devices, including medical device incident investigations to assure compliance with patient safety goals, Safe Medical Device Act (SMDA), and TJC requirements.

4. Advising clinical and administrative staff on medical engineering technology including existing and emerging technology addressing viability, long-term suitability, compatibility, and/or safety while keeping abreast of changes in technology and utilizing information gained in the solution of biomedical engineering problems.

5. Assisting with capital asset and infrastructure planning for medical equipment spanning initial concept, installation, and effective implementation of complex medical equipment.

6. Functioning as the subject matter expert in the field of biomedical engineering who directly supports specialized clinical technology including service, system administration, training, and quality assurance at a medical center.
