Your new role
As an experienced Finance Manager or Company Accountant, you will be involved in setting up and managing assets of the organisation, ensuring all financial and management accounting information is provided. You will be responsible for producing year-end accounts as well as all the general day to day accounting duties - VAT, journals, grant administration, reconciliations, analysis etc. You will have support from junior team members for administrative finance tasks. Hays are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join a busy Finance team as a Finance Manager on an 18-month Fixed Term Contract basis based in the Darlington office (hybrid working).
The Finance Manager position will be responsible for financial control activities within the Financial Control Centre of Excellence, with a specific focus on finance risk management oversight, internal control monitoring and associated reporting. • You will have a risk-based mind-set, ensuring oversight of financial control policy, and development of risk and internal control MI reporting (including Key Performance Indicators and controls assurance testing).
• To succeed in this role, high attention to detail and the ability to prioritise your workload to meet the various deadlines is key.
• You will have the ability to effectively communicate and build effective relationships with various stakeholders across the business, including Finance teams, Finance BPs, and Business stakeholders.
