This post has corporate responsibility for all aspects of the operationalisation of the Trust’s financial strategy on a day to day basis. The post holder has direct line management of senior staff within the department and holds a significant standing within the organisation as a whole. To actively engage and take a lead with Trust’s Finance Staff Development (FSD) and Future Focused Finance (FFF) Lead, liaising with the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and other National FSD/FFF Leads, ensuring that an effective, efficient and customer focused finance service is provided to the organisation.

Provide leadership to the Overseas Team, who are members of the finance team responsible recovering charges for NHS treatment in relation to any person who is not ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom.

Responsible for raising invoices, credit and debit memos and standing charges for the relevant departments. This includes adding VAT and interest where necessary, checking all the information is correct, tracing individuals. Deal with any queries from customers and liaise with the relevant service to resolve any disputes.

Assist with the collection of outstanding invoices. This includes agreeing repayment plans with customers, monitoring arrangements and updating the system for any unpaid invoices.

Amend computer records following telephone contact with customers, other sections within the council and external agencies.

What you’ll be doing:

Reviewing and negotiating settlement of all motor vehicles, liaising directly with our customers.
You’ll be working to agreed timescales and business parameters, depending on the business needs.
Audit and evaluate performance of repairer, making recommendations regarding repair quality, repair costs and customer service.
Building and maintaining professional working relationships with a range of suppliers.
Supporting all aspects of the business to assist in the claims process for both insured and third party in order expedite settlement and minimise cost.
Ensuring all work is carried out within agreed KPI’s and SLA’s and in accordance with our company values.
