Duration: 1 year contract starting 27/11/2023 - 24/11/2024
Description:
We're looking for an experienced individual for our client to manage external engineering contractors. They will lead a team a team of sub-contractor designers working on High Voltage Substation equipment layouts ranging from 132kV to 400kV. No direct reports.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the design is safe
* Ensure the design is on-time
* Ensure the design is on-budget
* Ensure the quality of the design and that it complies to the customer requirements
* Support & coordinate sub-contractor designers on their scope
* Checks design subcontractor deliverables
Requirements
* Good level of engineering experience in the related activity/discipline, preferably in project & EPC type environment in T&D, Power Gen or Oil &Gas industry, or 2 to 4 Medium Set projects in position of Lead Engineer
* Experience of project technical management processes, preferably in a multi-disciplinary team's context with multiple interfaces
* Several experiences in managing externally subcontracted design work package of various sizes
* Knowledge of Transmission or Distribution industry is desirable
