Position Summary:
Field position requiring out of town travel majority of the time. This position performs mechanical, electrical and/or controls/programming upgrades, modifications, repairs, maintenance, service, troubleshooting, startup, installation, supervision, audits, training, and support for packaging equipment. This includes equipment manufactured by the AHC family of companies as well as non AHC OEM equipment.
Major Responsibilities:
•Strong PLC (programable logic controller) knowledge and, in particular, all AB (Allen Bradley) platforms
• Skilled in setting up and troubleshooting AB (Allen-Bradley) servo systems, demonstrating expertise in working with advanced motion control technology.
• Strong foundation in electrical work, including reading and interpreting electrical schematics, troubleshooting electrical systems, and performing panel wiring.
• Proficiency in HMI (human-machine interface) programming, configuring, and operating user-friendly interfaces for industrial automation systems.
• Familiarity with safety light curtains, indicating an understanding of the use and integration of these devices for safeguarding personnel and machinery.
• Knowledge of Safety Relays and Safety Circuits, highlighting expertise in configuring and programming safety-related control systems.
• Possessing good mechanical knowledge and the ability to effectively use wrenches, showcasing competence in mechanical tasks and maintenance activities.
• Previous experience in the packaging industry would be a strong advantage, as it demonstrates familiarity with this sector's specific requirements and challenges.
• Experience with line controls would be beneficial, indicating proficiency in controlling and managing production lines in an industrial setting.
• Stay up to date on administrative responsibilities, including maintaining internal service records and manuals, customer service logs, accurate reporting (expense reports, project closure, timekeeping, etc.), and documenting work on Service Reports
• Fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, highlighting proficiency in using these software tools for documentation, data analysis, and presentations.
