As Faculty Head you will inspire, motivate and lead effective learning and teaching based upon the principles of Curriculum for Excellence. We are looking for a Faculty Head who:

Successful applicants will:

• hold an appropriate secondary qualification
• hold the Catholic Teacher’s Certificate in Religious Education.
• have significant experience of working in a Secondary School
• be fully registered with the General Teaching Council, Scotland (GTCS)
• be able to demonstrate that they possess the commitment, knowledge and skills outlined in the Standard for Full Registration

We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and enthusiastic early years practitioner to the post of Training & Improvement Officer.

Working with key stakeholders and practitioners in settings, you will drive forward key local and national priorities in early learning and childcare in Falkirk.

You will be required to work autonomously and under your own initiative. You should be credible and confident in the role having demonstrable and proven success in delivering improvement in an early years setting.

The duties of the post are varied and include quality assurance and self-evaluation. You will also be knowledgeable and capable across the areas of:

• Parent and family support.
• Leadership and management.

To apply for the post, you should be qualified to degree level with a BA Childhood Practice (or equivalent) and possess the following professional attributes:

In-depth early years pedagogical knowledge.

• Proven ability to lead change and improvement within and across early years settings.

Working within Children’s Services Community Learning & Development (CLD) function as part of our Youth Work and Schools Team, you will be responsible for delivering CLD services, in line with key national and local strategic priorities.

Working with secondary schools, you will work with young people in school and community-based settings. You will be an enthusiastic and motivated individual, you will have a knowledge and practical understanding of local and national quality assurance processes and developments in working with young people. You will have strong communication skills and the commitment to an integrated team approach. You will require a Degree/Diploma in Community Education and/or other CeVe endorsed qualifications.

Falkirk Council Housing and Communities Service is inviting applications for the role of Training Coordinator.

This is an excellent opportunity to support the training and development of staff within the Service. You will be required to source and arrange best value training to fulfil the requirements of the Service training plan and then evaluate training programmes that have been delivered. You will also oversee the further education programme within the Service and support those undertaking additional learning. You will be responsible for the recruitment and monitoring of Modern Apprentices and provide advice and support in relation to training and work closely with managers across the Service to determine training priorities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential as the postholder is required to communicate to a wide variety of people. A qualification in Training and additionally in Housing would be desirable.

This post is permanent, working 37 hours per week.
