The primary purpose of this position is to plan, implement, administer, and counsel units and their leadership on individual, family, and community issues including but not limited to career assistance, transition, relocation, family, and other work/life service and activities provided to military members, retirees, Department of Defense civilian members, and their families.

DUTIES:

1. Assesses needs and provides continuing work/life services to leadership, organizations, and serviced populations within assigned units and in the M&FRC.
2. Develops, implements, and manages installation work/life services programs, establishing goals, objectives, and procedures in accordance with applicable state, Air Force, and other federal guidance, regulations, and laws.
3. Consults with on- and off-site community leadership officials on work/life and related issues. Influences key organizational staff and organized groups within/outside the installation.
4. Designs and establishes marketing and public relations strategies to ensure target populations are informed of services and activities.
5. Participates in wartime and contingency operations; deploys to contingency locations on a rotational basis.

1. Performs budget formulation work involving review and preparation of annual funding needs for one or more future budget years for assigned, relatively stable organizations, activities, and/or accounts. Reviews and analyzes budget requests submitted by assigned organizations to ensure their consistency, accuracy, and adherence to instructions.
2. Performs budget execution and administration work involving the monitoring of obligations incurred and the actual expenditures of funds. Monitors, tracks, and reviews obligations, expenditures, reimbursable orders, and requests for allotments, identifying and reporting differences, which are not in keeping with annual work plans.
3. Provides advice, assistance, and guidance on budgeting and related information. Provides advice on budget and related matters such as types of funding available, effects of budgetary changes on related activities, and status and use of funds.
4. Conducts analyses, reviews, and special studies of budget and/or related information for assigned programs/organizations. Researches and analyzes available factual information, trends in the cost of accomplishing specific work objectives, and/or relationships among organizational needs/objectives.
5. Uses automated budgetary system(s) and computer-generated products in accomplishing budgeting assignments. Performs quality checks of automated system database information and advises program manager of any significant problems. Uses available computer software programs to produce required budget reports, plans, schedules, etc.

1. This position will support the Federal Government's response efforts to COVID-19. Leads a crew of three or more firefighters, including at least one firefighter (GS-07 or military equivalent) assigned to man a major piece of motorized firefighting equipment such as a pumper, aerial ladder truck, or Airport Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicle in firefighting and rescue operations.

2. Directs firefighting crew in the operation of firefighting vehicles and equipment.

3. Directs assigned crew in the performance of crash/rescue and firefighting duties at airfields handling complex (e.g., bombers, cargo, and passenger) aircraft; the performance of structural firefighting duties for a variety of facilities which may include research and/or large industrial complexes; and the performance of hazardous material (HAZMAT) containment and control and/or Basic Life Support duties.

4. Leads assigned crew and performs emergency rescue of personnel and a variety of first aid measures to alleviate further injury and prepare the victim(s) for transport to a medical facility.

5. Assigns crew members to perform maintenance of firefighting equipment and fire station facilities. Complies with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures and performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.

• Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Career Development Element of the Military Personnel Sections (MPS), ensuring that the Career Development Element complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
• Exercise management oversight responsibilities to all Career Development programs, leading Airmen with superior dedication, knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm.
• Manages the Enlisted Promotion Program.
• Serves as the base Personnel Reliability Program (PRP) monitor and as an agent for the U.S. Department of State, Special Issuance Agency-Passport Application Acceptance Program.
