We are currently seeking a skilled Minute Taker to join a dedicated team within the Customer and Corporate Services for one of our clients. This role is critical in ensuring accurate documentation of key meetings, particularly those involving sensitive and complex matters. If you have a strong eye for detail and thrive in fast-paced environments, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Minuting child protection case conferences with precision and confidentiality.
• Accurately note-taking during complex strategy meetings.
• Providing minute-taking support for a variety of other meetings as required.
• Ensuring timely distribution of meeting notes and minutes.
• Maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in all documentation.
• Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth operation of meetings.
• Supporting the administrative needs of the department as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word.
• Experience working within a public sector or similar environment is desirable.

Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a thriving local authority, based in Plymouth, which is in need of an ambitious Employment Lawyer to join their team. As an Employment Lawyer, you will be responsible for providing legal advice in relation to Employment Law, policy, governance and appearing as an advocate for the Council in Court and at tribunals.

ROLE: Employment Lawyer - local authority

RATE: £38,000 to £42,000

LOCATION: Plymouth - remote working (preference to attending hearings and tribunals)

CONTRACT LENGTH: 12 month contract

Key Responsibilities

• Handle you own Employment law caseload from start to completion
• Deal with matters in relation to Employment Law regarding both contentious and non-contentious employment matters

• Advise on TUPE and a broad range of other employment issues for clients

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with experience in Employment Law (1-3 years of PQE)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• This role does not require you to have prior local authority experience!
