Ensure the provision of products and materials are in good working order for teaching & learning purposes

Make sure that teaching areas, office space and stores are kept safe, clean and well stocked with relevant materials where appropriate (disposing of waste as appropriate)

Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations affecting the curriculum areas

Prepare materials for students to work with, such as: cutting materials to size / shape ready for assembly.

Confirm material stock, are checked, catalogued, maintained and stored appropriately.

Perform PAT testing for electrical equipment.

Prepare for internal and external events such as assessments, training, open events, displays and community activities, etc for staff and students

Carry out a risk assessment on classrooms and equipment on a regular basis
Qualifications Required:
English and Maths: Level 2 or above OR equivalent experience / willingness to gain.

Knowledge and experience using software to order stock and equipment such as netsuite
Desirable:
A qualification relating to Health and Safety or a willingness to gain

A first aid qualification or a willingness to gain

We have a great opportunity for a Night Shift Construction Manager working with a fit out contractor in Central London on a project due to run for circa 9-10 months.

The Projects are valued circa £500K-£3M and tend to be fit out projects. You will be responsible for managing the site and will have to be quite an expert in logistics and they will include some external works also.

You will be reporting to the Project Manager daily. Whilst managing the site, you must also be maintaining a high standard of health & safety while ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget.

The project is working in a live environment throughout the day thus the need for a night manager to come in and push the programme at night, it is essential that the manager is a programme pusher. The project will involve, Alterations, Welding, Hot works meaning H&S is an absolute must.

The ideal Site Manager must have:

• Have CAT A / B Fit Out experience
• Longevity in roles with some of the contractors in the industry
• Have experience in delivering commercial fit outs
• Major experience in M+E
• Experience and understanding of the floor plate of the building
• Understanding of programmes and ability to handle minutes efficiently
• Experience successfully running fit out projects as a Site Manager on commercial projects
• Interpersonal skills so you can get on with the rest of the team
• SMSTS, First Aid, Fire Marshall and Black Card/NVQ Level 6 certs

The ability to develop strategies, policies and procedures, aligning them with service and corporate priorities.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and to effectively manage key stakeholders.
A proactive and organised approach to managing tasks and priorities.
Ability to work well under pressure.
The ability to work autonomously to meet the objectives of the organisation.
Membership of a relevant professional body or association (e.g., Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) is advantageous.

You will have proven underwriting experience within the US property (delegated authority) space, understanding of the property market in the US, and an understanding of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of property underwriting and binding authority management.You will ideally be ACII qualified or working towards completion.
You will also have excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills, an ability to offer creative solutions, a professional attitude when dealing with all aspects of work and client relationships, and commitment to the needs of clients and strong relationship management skills.
