The Role

• To manage your own caseload of routine property transactions and assist Property and Contracts Lawyers with more complex matters as needed

The Person

• A legal qualification (e.g. LPC / LLM / LLB) would be required for this role

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Property Manager with previous experience in a property management and/or lettings / tenancy / housing background, excellent customer service, negotiation and communication skills.

Working as the Property Manager you will cover all areas of property management and resident liaison for approximately 500 Private Rented and Intermediate Rented properties across Central and Greater London. You will be based in the Ealing office with flexible working from home and will be required to travel to the properties regularly to carry out your key responsibilities.

As the Property Manager you will be required to have previous property management experience and a strong ability to liaise with residents is essential. You will need to be confident, personable and comfortable speaking to residents in person while onsite, and via the phone and email while working remotely.


DUTIES

Your duties as a Property Manager will include:

• Resolving customer queries promptly, including liaison with the Operational Teams, residents, and 3rd party providers as required

• Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers and provide support to your Line Manager, Lettings Team, and your Team

• Carry out a planned programme of Estate & Property inspections, taking responsibility for following up reporting and actions

• Overseeing Block cost control and reporting, to deliver a cost-effective service

• Ensuring compliance monitoring is carried out in accordance with agreed schedules & legislation

• Ensuring any legal notices are served to residents correctly along with accurate record keeping and attendance at Court when required

• Facilitate the successful implementation of empty property management processes, minimising costs, and lost revenue

• Facilitating change of sharers, rent increases and renewals, and carrying out reference checks, right to rent checks and issuing tenancy agreements

The role largely involves running a case load of subrogated recovery matters on behalf of a range of insurers. The work will be varied, interesting and challenging and where you show you can run the cases successfully, you will be given autonomy to stamp your own mark on the files; there will be the opportunity to work on matters varying in value from £10,000 all the way up to millions of pounds. You will also get involved with business development and client initiatives, where appropriate.

In addition, you can expect to:

Manage a large caseload of Property Insurance claims.
Deliver a high quality and timely output to clients, ensuring high levels of client service and alignment with agreed working practices and client service level agreements.
Capture and collate required Management Information in accordance with agreed practice for clients.
Contribute to the development and improvement of the team's service, support, processes and procedures.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have prior Claims Handling and/or litigation experience, including running a case load. Experience of Insurance is preferable but not essential. Our client is happy to consider candidates either with a Law degree, those working towards ACII, CILEx or equivalent legal qualification, or alternatively you might have significant experience in claims, with technical knowledge and experience. Candidates should have litigation experience and a familiarity with Civil Procedure Rules.

An understanding of how to provide excellent customer service is essential, and you will be hardworking, enthusiastic and motivated, with competent skills in Microsoft Office. Previous experience of using a case management system is desirable.

Your new role
Your new role working as an Construction Account Executive will be working for an
expanding team in the City of London and or their NW London office handling UK Construction, both annual policies and single projects business. This role will include managing existing clients effectively, proactively developing and attaining company's income and growth objectives for an assigned client portfolio, meeting renewal, cross-sell, and new business targets within specified deadlines and budgets. You will be responsible for dealing with you clients from inception to completion. Cultivating and strengthening relationships with key insurers and underwriters, collaborating closely with other divisions, Account Executives, and Handlers to build enduring connections with existing and new clients. Offer advice on existing products and demonstrate extensive expertise in a wide range of Construction products and relevant contract terms. Collaborate with other areas to identify cross-selling and expanded services opportunities, aiming to maximise product sales across the existing client base. Support the Construction team in achieving cross-selling opportunities. Assume overall responsibility for assigned client relationships and provide assistance as needed for other clients, including liaising with other specialised teams. Other duties will include handling all meeting renewals, cross-selling, and dealing with any new business. You will be responsible for dealing with clients with confidence, showcasing exceptional product knowledge.


What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as an Account Executive handling UK Construction business will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will need be able to visit clients independently and handle accounts from inception to completion. A minimum of a Cert CII qualification is preferred. Also, you will have confident and effective telephone and PC skills including Microsoft Office, have the ability to develop and sustain relationships with both clients and colleagues and have good interpersonal and communication skills.
