Your new role
You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery scheme of cyclic maintenance operations on trunk roads and motorways, which is valued at £50m per annum. Your new role will entail the planning and development of structure projects, liaising with the client and ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.


What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will have relevant experience working on Highways/Motorways projects for the principal contractor on maintenance projects such as resurfacing, waterproofing and structural works. You will have relevant tickets such as a Gold or Black CSCS Card and SMSTS and have the ability to exhibit excellent management abilities, such as project, financial, change, and construction management.

Your new company
This is the ideal role for a person with project management experience in the joinery industry working on high-value projects providing bespoke joinery to a range of clients. You will be joining a bespoke joinery manufacturer and fitout contractor, offering cutting-edge custom joinery services to diverse commercial sectors and upscale residential markets. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to onboard a project manager to assist with growth. They have a strong pipeline of work and boast an impressive range of clients.

Your new role
As a project manager, your responsibilities will include:Overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from tender acceptance and design to development and timely project delivery/installation within budget.
Offering a comprehensive turnkey service to our clients, covering design, development, manufacturing, delivery, and installation.
Coordinating and generating all relevant project documentation, including client-approved drawings, cost variations from the original quote, production and delivery schedules, material procurement, and operation and maintenance manuals.
Managing relationships with production teams and suppliers to ensure successful project outcomes, including specialised aspects of bespoke joinery.

What you'll need to succeed
Solid Project Management Background in Joinery Industry: Demonstrated experience in effectively managing projects within the joinery sector.Commercial Acumen and Client Collaboration: Adept at working closely with clients to not only meet but exceed their expectations on-site.
Project Value Expertise: Proficient in handling projects with a value of up to £750,000.
Effective Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, serving as a bridge between clients, the business, and relevant suppliers/subcontractors.
Technical Competence: Capable of interpreting and comprehending drawings (including manufacturing details), specifications, and overseeing production through to delivery and installation. Additionally, able to create basic CAD drawings for construction based on design concepts or architectural plans.

Job Details

• Investigating, managing and reporting on a varied range of surveyed claims
  
• Liaising with customers, determining policy cover and legal liability investigations, establishing the loss value and any associated costs
  
• Handling and desktop settling a full and varied range of incidents
  
• Ensuring all claims are managed properly, fairly and with integrity, producing reporting which demonstrates this
  
• Maintaining high standards of communication with internal stakeholders and providing information on significant claims trends
  
• Participating in the policy wording and claim handling enhancement working group and contributing to the claims auditing process
  
  
  

Skills we would love you to have

• Experience of investigating and handling domestic property claims
  
• Excellent knowledge of current case law, settlement methods, building regulations, market pricing, flood/escape of water/fire damage management best practice and principles

About Us:
Hastings Direct is a leading insurance provider committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers. We're currently seeking skilled Claims Handlers to join our Third Party Property Damage department. This role is perfect for individuals with a strong background in liability investigations and negotiations, particularly those with experience in the insurance or legal sector.




Role Purpose:
As a Third-Party Property Damage Claims Handler, you'll play a crucial role in our claims team, responsible for investigating and resolving third-party property damage claims. You'll utilize your expertise in liability assessments and negotiations to ensure fair and accurate settlements while maintaining excellent customer service.

• Starting Salary of £25,200 per year with ongoing progression up to £27,300
• You'll have the opportunity to earn up to a 5% annual bonus on top of this base salary equalling £26,460 per year
• Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 9:00 to 17:30

What will you be doing?

• Investigate and assess third-party property damage claims, gathering relevant information and evidence.
• Liaise with external parties, such as claimants, solicitors, and other insurance companies, to negotiate and settle claims.
• Analyse policy documentation to determine coverage and applicability.
• Evaluate liability and quantum to determine accurate settlement amounts.
• Manage a caseload of claims while ensuring adherence to company guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather insights and share knowledge for continuous improvement.
