About the Role: • In this varied role, you will carry out a mix of planned preventative (PPM) and reactive maintenance across campus, ensuring work is completed promptly to minimise disruption to students. • You’ll investigate issues, determine the cause of damage, and either complete the necessary repairs yourself or coordinate with sub-contractors. • You’ll uphold high professional standards and actively promote a positive health and safety culture, adhering to existing infrastructure and regulations. • Ensure all buildings and services comply with statutory requirements and the Health and Safety at Work Act, providing necessary information to the Facilities Administration Team for compliance.
About You: • Experience in general building maintenance, including fault finding, repairs and installations. • A recognised qualifications or apprenticeship in a relevant trade such as electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or carpentry. • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and provide excellent customer service. • Able to work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team. • Hold a full UK driving licence. This varied role will see you undertaking a mixture of PPM and reactive maintenance across the site to ensure it is completed within a prompt time frame to ensure it doesn't impact the student experience.
You will be investigating issues to establish the cause of the damage then undertaking repairs yourself or liaising with respective sub-contractors to arrange repairs.
To comply with the highest levels of professional standards and promote a positive health and safety culture in line with the existing H&S Infrastructure.
Ensuring that all buildings and services are in good working order and comply with statutory regulations and the Health and Safety at Work Act and provide the relevant information for repairs directly to the Facilities Administration Team to ensure the buildings and services meet compliance.
A full driving licence is essential for this role.About You:
You will be a tradesperson or a technical individual, ideally with a Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering background, capable of maintaining and repairing M&E Plant and building fabric.
You will be competent in using hand and power tools and have the ability to undertake general maintenance work as required.
Be a great communicator and able to successfully liaise with other members in your team, to deliver a great maintenance service to enhance the customer experience. A true team player, together with a professional ‘can do’ approach to your work.

Your new role

As a Development Underwriter, you will be responsible for writing new business within the Commercial / Property book, adding to an already strong pipeline. They have committed brokers in the region and are looking for an individual to come in and add value to the proposition.
Predominately a remote role, you will be expected to be on the road, arranging broker appointments and winning new business.

Responsibilities/Duties;
-Receipt processing.
-Assisting with banking cash & cheques received.
-Checking of creditor invoices.
-Dealing with invoices and supplier queries.
-Completing with weekly payment runs.
-Producing client statements & ad-hoc reports.
-Raising charges & processing ad-hoc charges (insurance, utilities and repairs).
-Raising tenant & internal invoices.
-Maintaining client, tenant and creditor records.
-Checking and running VAT returns for clients and submitting to HMRC via MTO.
