This role is a crucial bridge between the property management / data team within the property department, and other finance teams in the business such as accounts. Supporting the property management team to ensure property cost payments are made accurately, assisting with data entry and account reconciliation and funds recovery linked to property deals where appropriate.

A typical day in this role includes:

• Reconciliation of rent and service charge in collaboration with the finance team in order to ensure property deals can progress as planned for example - assisting with agreeing completion statements and allocation of funds within our accounts

• Identifying and actioning opportunities to recover monies inc VAT following completion of property deals.
• Supporting with rent and business rate payment runs as required
• Ensuring that any urgent payment requests are actioned by the finance team
• Assisting with Horizon lease data changes as required
• Assisting with supplier changes ensuring that these are actioned in adherence with set KPI’s
• Ensure line managers and department head/director are aware of any risks arising from payment issues

What you’ll need:

Ideally experience with the Horizon system (or similar property management database), Bottomline (or other invoicing program)
You will have a background of working in accounts payable / credit control with a solid confidence in working through accounts to reconcile payments and invoices etc.
Knowledge of commercial property management would be an advantage but training will be given
The ability to use Microsoft suite including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Powerpoint and Word as well as online and internal databases

We have a brilliant opportunity to join our Property & Investments Finance team as a Senior Finance Analyst.

The Property & Investments Finance team forms part of a larger Commercial Finance team consisting of Commercial & Marketing, Healthcare Finance, Online & Distribution, Procurement and Retail Finance.

The team is made up of 7 Finance Analysts and Management Accountants providing financial analysis and support to the Property Director and the Property Leadership team.

The team own the Property running costs from a Finance perspective and act as valued business partners, ensuring that the analysis provided supports decision making.


Job Purpose

This is a key role within the Property and Investments Finance team that has the responsibility for the financial management of all Capital Expenditure of Superdrug and working with the Property and Investments Finance Manager in improving the processes in these areas.

You will also be responsible for Repairs & Maintenance and Utilities costs which are under the control of the Property Director & the Head of Health & Safety and Facilities and will work closely with them as their Finance Business Partner to deliver value adding, accurate and timely financial analysis in order to support their strategic and commercial decision making.


Key Responsibilities

Develop a thorough understanding of all Capital Expenditure across Superdrug.
Responsible for robust capital tracking, regular reporting and analysis at Division and Project level and business partnering with different Project Managers, ensuring that the capital is being spent effectively and generating appropriate returns in line with the Company’s objectives.
Own the month end processes, ensuring that all Capital Spend is accurately accounted for and be able to provide insight into variances where appropriate.
Support in developing, compiling and presenting capital investment requests and to perform post investment analysis in related areas
Lead on the Quarterly Forecasting and the Annual Budgeting process for Capital Spend, co-ordinating the inputs from across all areas of the Business and producing value added outputs for Board review.
Answer & co-ordinate responses to Group Finance on relevant monthly/quarterly submissions
Manage the day to day activities of the Fixed Asset Accountant direct report and support with their on-going development. Overall ownership of Fixed Assets Register & Depreciation


Repairs & Maintenance / Utilities
Own the Month End processes for Repairs & Maintenance and Utilities costs ensuring there are robust controls in place, and all costs are correctly accounted for.
Responsible for producing analysis which will deliver value added insight to key stakeholders allowing them to formulate a strategy for jobs undertaken across the estate.
Responsible for the Quarterly Forecast and Annual Budgeting process for all spend.
Act as the Finance Business Partner for the Head of Health & Safety and Facilities, helping them with cost centre queries, forecasting and budgeting
Establish a strong and effective working relationship with the Finance teams of our 3rd party providers and attend relevant external meetings where appropriate.

Other
Develop an understanding of all areas controlled by the Property function in order to support on adhoc analysis / help provide support to the wider Property and Investments Finance team where appropriate.
Identify and deliver developments in reporting, system use and processes ensuring they deliver robust business information in an efficient manner.

CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified
Knowledge of Management Accounts and Capital Expenditure essential
Advanced knowledge of Excel essential

The Property & Investments Finance team forms part of a larger Commercial Finance team consisting of Commercial & Marketing, Healthcare Finance, Online & Distribution, Procurement and Retail Finance.

Job Purpose

This is a key role within the Property and Investments Finance team that has the responsibility for the financial management of the Property Costs of Superdrug, c.800 Stores and working with the Senior Property Finance Analyst in improving the processes in these areas. You will also be involved with the management of the Rent costs for our sister company Savers, c.500 stores.

You will act as the Finance Business Partner for members of the Property Function, helping them with queries, forecasting and budgeting and providing them with information that enables them to deliver their company targets and business profitability.
Here's the exciting bit…a day includes
Property Costs
Develop a thorough understanding of all costs controlled by the Property Function, including, but not limited to Rent, Rates and Service Charges.
As part of month end processes, you will own the posting of certain Property Costs ensuring that there are robust controls in place, all costs are accurately accounted for and Balance Sheet reconciliations are completed with a high degree of insight.
Prepare flash reports prior to month end and participate in month end meetings to provide insight into variances where appropriate.
Support a selection of Property Cost Centres at month end
Responsible for updating Oracle Property Manager on a monthly basis for all changes in leases and assisting the Senior Finance Analyst with other tasks required for IFRS16 Reporting.
Work closely with the Senior Finance Analyst in establishing regular reporting and analysis of Property Costs.
Support the Senior Finance Analyst with the Quarterly Forecasting and the Annual Budgeting process for Property Costs.
Substitute for the Senior Finance Analyst in his/her absence.

A leading Legal 500 and Chambers ranked firm are looking for a Residential Property Partner and Associate to join their busy Plot Sales team in Southampton.

The role will see you responsible for sales of new homes and the legal aspects of contracts, title, exchange, completions and complex enquiries including part exchanges and resale of properties purchased in part exchange. It will also cover all aspects of individual plot sale disposals, some under the Help to Buy Scheme.

You will have gained extensive experience at a practice with a relevant property track record and will have excellent communication, organisational and IT skills. You will also need the ability and desire to assist with business development and client management.

To be successful, you will ideally:
- Have at least 4 years experience in residential property (however, less experienced candidates are also invited to apply).
- Be a qualified legal executive, licensed conveyancer or solicitor (particularly experienced non-qualified conveyancers are also invited to apply).
- Have sound technical knowledge of residential property law.
- Have experience dealing with high volumes of transactions.
