Our Project Engineers manage all aspects of their projects including initial scoping of the need, competitively tendering the work, contractor procurement, site set up and inductions, and health and safety inspections, through to commissioning, training and handover to the operations teams.

What you will be doing as a Project Engineer

- Managing and delivering a portfolio of Mechanical, Electrical and ICA projects, with a typical value of £40,000 to £400,000 per project.
- Responsibility for up to 15 live projects at any one time, with further projects in the scoping and tendering phase.
- Developing innovative and modern solutions to operational problems, making our sites more efficient and delivering value for money for our customers.
- Working with our operations teams and contractors to scope, define and cost solutions that are both cost effective and have minimal risk. This includes the Controller of Premises for the site you are working at.
- Delivering our zero-compromise health and safety attitude to all contractors working on your project.

Working Hours – Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week.

What you should bring to the role

- Have a background within Engineering, such as Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering.
- Formal qualifications within these sectors are strongly encouraged.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders simultaneously. This includes internal colleagues, site employees and external contractors.
- Additionally, you will have the ability to work with minimum supervision, be self-motivated and driven, and use your own initiative to deliver high quality work.
- Understanding of Health and Safety standards with particular reference to construction works including CDM.
- Experience within Project Management is desirable.
- Industry experience would be highly advantageous but not essential.

- Assisting in the preparation of regulatory compliance submissions, as necessary
- Interfacing between Thames Water and its external regulators on key matters of regulatory reporting so that overall reporting requirements are clear and met.
- Influencing both, internally and externally, such that regulatory outcomes are aligned with our corporate aims, objectives and transformation plan.

Regional Optical Trainer job covering Southern England. Zest Optical are currently looking to recruit a Regional Trainer for a leading manufacturer of Ophthalmic Lenses. The purpose of this role is to plan and deliver product, sales & retail training activities to key customers. This position will involve supporting independent opticians across Southern England.

Regional Optical Trainer - Role

• Visit optical stores to train and communicate on products and services.
• Organise, coordinate and host digital learning initiatives including live webinars.
• To develop training ideas to enhance sales levels.
• Supporting the Head of EPS with projects.
• Supporting the Head of EPS with training content creation (CET, technical product training, dispensing & retail optimisation) creating storyboard, presentations and adapt this content to various formats (e-learning platform, ppt…) with the support of the marketing team.
• Supporting the sales team with customer training requirements and their KPIs.

Regional Optical Trainer - Requirements

• Dispensing Optician qualification
• Working on own initiative to tight deadlines
• Ability to communicate at all levels both verbally and in writing
• Ability to effectively analyse and interpret data

Regional Optical Trainer - Salary

• Base salary between £35-40k
• Company car and a range of additional benefits
• Monday - Friday working
