Business Development Manager – Singapore
We are seeking a Business Development Manager - Singapore to join our team in Asendia Singapore. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Singapore/South Asia, the incumbent will be responsible for building pipeline and achieving sales targets for Asendia Singapore. The incumbent is responsible to develop and implement strategies to grow new client markets, increase sales of Asendia products/services, drive sales, and build client / partner relationships to support the expansion strategy of cross border e-Commerce flows from marketplaces and online sellers in Singapore to worldwide destinations. The ideal candidate should possess a "hunter" mindset, and with good experience in new business acquisition and achieving ambitious growth targets, preferably in eCommerce logistics and in Singapore and South-east Asia.
Your Tasks
- Define and develop the Sales strategy to increase new customer segmentation and acquisition for the Singapore and neighboring countries markets
- Identify new key prospects and customer segment targets, drive sales growth and manage pipelines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners and key industry influencers
- Influence and improve the value proposition based on customers’ needs and feedback
- Identify and map business strengths and customers’ needs
- Work closely with the functional teams based in APAC (Product, Pricing, Operations and IT in particular) to ensure a cohesive approach to market penetration and customer satisfaction.
- Develop a strong knowledge of the new local ecommerce landscape & provide industry trends, competitor activities, and custom needs to senior management on potential sales strategies.
- Influence and improve the value proposition based on customers’ needs and feedback
- Identify and map business strengths and customers’ needs
- Collaborate with the new markets Business Development Managers to identify new sales opportunities in the SEA & South Asia region and to establish the market positioning of Asendia as a cross-border e-Commerce company in Singapore and neighboring SEA countries.
- Sales Excellence – A-CRM adoption by sales team
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial roles within the eCommerce logistics industry, with proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing key accounts.
- Ability to identify good business opportunities, develop and implement effective sales strategies that translates to actual revenue.
- Ability to deliver work that adds value by contributing to the growth of the business, and generate results that allow Asendia to be commercially competitive.
- Good sales track records and equips with an in-depth cross-border logistics product knowledge and understanding of the eCommerce logistics landscape of Singapore and Southeast Asia.
- Strong ability to adapt to changing market conditions and remains agile to pivot and refocus on deliverables in the face of challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that effectively convince and address the needs of diverse audiences, and a skilled negotiator with the ability to close deals and resolves conflicts.
- Highly self-motivated to attain goals, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- A strong business acumen to anticipate clients’ needs and future trends, and effectively implements new solutions/services to close deals.
- Possess strong analysis and data-driven influencing skills to present proposals/solutions to diverse groups of stakeholders.
