What skills and experience we're looking for

Kesgrave High School is looking for an Art teacher to join us from January 2025. This is an excitng opportunity to contribute to a talented and committed team of subject specialists. We are looking for an excellent Art teacher who can contribute to the teaching of one or more Art subjects, including; Art, Photography, Graphics and Textiles.

The Art department is paticularly well resourced. The main Art Department is housed in the Creative-Physical block and consists of three Art teaching rooms, a computer room, a lighting studio and a kiln room. All A-Level teaching is carried out in a separate Creative Media block where there are separate Sixth Form only studio spaces for Art and Photography, including a darkroom.

The Art department is a dynamic part of the school and the successful candidate should be able to work as part of a team and contribute energy, enthusiasm and new ideas. The department has a great sense of team spirit and staff work collabortively to ensure our students achieve the highest possible standards. What you'll need to succeed
Whilst technical knowledge and experience is essential for the role, they are looking for someone who can assist in leading the team and drive collaboration. It is essential for the right candidate to have excellent communication skills both with internal and external stakeholders, as well as the ability to effectively manage external consultants and contractors on a day-to-day basis.

You will also hold the following:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

Your new role
Due to an increase in their workload, they are now looking for a Design Co-ordinator to join the design team supporting the team with the increase in workload from a variety of key clients, including the Environment Agency, Highways England and local authorities. As a result of design and build civil engineering schemes now becoming more common, coupled with projected workload, they are seeking a Design Co-ordinator to strengthen their busy design management team.
Duties to include:

• Attending meetings with clients, including presenting, and discussing design ideas and solutions.
• Preparation of design documents, briefs, reports, and management plans.
• Development and management of design programmes.
• Reviewing design documents for compliance with scheme requirements, utilising gained knowledge and experience to advise on buildability and value engineering opportunities.

• Good collaborative communication skills and programming software skills.
• Must have an engineering background which allows you to envisage how schemes are built, for example at experienced Senior Engineer, Sub Agent, Site Agent or Site Manager level.

• Develop and design new products in line with company’s medium to long term
strategy following appropriate procedures and considering the manufacturing
capabilities.
• Guarantee, throughout the development process, that attention to quality,
efficiency and cost is always maintained.
• Produce all the required drawings together with bills of material that are
needed for production, including the creation of new parts and necessary
manuals and documentation.

production costs and submit ideas as Specification Change Requests for
approval.
• Oversee the building of prototypes within the factory and work closely with the

• Provide technical support to sales and after sales support teams for all

Applicants will:
• Ideally be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
