This role provides essential administrative support to the school’s Senior Leadership Team and will include an element of HR support. An excellent standard of written English and literacy and good communication skills are pivotal to this role. You should hold, or be willing to work towards, a first aid qualification as part of this role will also involve supporting our Main First Aider. The ability to work flexibly, plan, prioritise and manage time efficiently whilst dealing with frequent interruptions is essential. The working hours are 8.30am – 4.30pm, Monday to Thursdays and 8.30am - 4.00pm on Fridays during term-time. This is a permanent contract to start as soon as possible.
The ideal candidate will have 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths at grade C or above. Relevant office experience including proven ICT skills are essential. Previous school experience would be an advantage.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and resourceful Administrative Assistant to join our friendly team. We are seeking applicants who can take up their role as soon as possible. The post is offered as a full-time permanent position, working during term-time only plus inset days (39 weeks per year).
SAST will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. Responsibilities:

• Undertake clerical and secretarial duties which may include word processing, arranging meetings, minute-taking, diary management, handling telephone calls and / or attending to visitors.
• Support the maintenance of data systems as appropriate by way of data input and / or extracting data to provide requested management and/or financial information.
• Maintain filing system, both manual and electronic, which may include information relating to the team.
• Undertake any clerical and administrative support duties specific to the post which may include updating spreadsheets, distributing questionnaires and ensuring pages on the website are up to date
• Liaison with other staff and external customers, as a point of contact for the team. Providing advice as appropriate and / or referring enquiries to the relevant officer. h the proper use and safekeeping of data and record systems both manual and computerised.

Experience and requirements:

• Some administration experience preferred
