The Student Intern will perform the following:
- Preparing letters of commendation, letters of appreciation, and awards. Preparing a variety of narrative and statistical information, correspondence, reports, etc., in final form for supervisor's signature.
- Reviewing all signatory documents received in the office. Reviewing all outgoing correspondence for proper format, grammar, typographical accuracy, proper coordination, attachments, and compliance with supervisor's viewpoint.
- Performing receipt inventory monthly and annually or all required to meet regulatory requirement and tracks all requests for information.
- Researching and obtaining background information for required actions through available tools such as automated databases, historical files, and review of previous or current studies/projects on related topics.
- Monitoring suspense dates, coordinates late responses, and identifies potential problem areas.
- Preparing non-technical answers to queries and actions on own initiative, or from supervisor's brief comments.
- Assisting in developing appropriate observational checklists, survey questionnaires, focus group outlines, performance measurements, and SME evaluation forms.
- Assisting and advising staff on procedural and administrative actions. Maintaining internal control of staff and administrative actions.
- Assisting in development of yearly budgets.
