Job Summary:
The Food Bank Singapore is a food charity-of-choice dedicated to fighting hunger and reducing food wastage in Singapore. Established in 2012, our mission is to bridge the gap between those with excess food and those in need, providing a sustainable solution to hunger. We work with a network of donors, volunteers, and partner organisations to collect and redistribute food to more than 370 beneficiary organisations. The Food Bank Singapore is currently seeking a highly skilled and versatile professional to join our team as Accounting, Human Resources and Business Reporting Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing HR functions, overseeing budgeting activities to ensure the efficient running of our charity, and provision of business and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
(1) Human Resources
- Developing, maintaining and implementing internal HR policies and strategies, and ensuring that all policies are aligned to current Singapore Ministry of Manpower regulations.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
- Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
(2) Accounting
- Prepare budget forecasts.
- Manage all accounting transactions.
- Publish financial statements in time, including working with our external auditors on annual audits and reviews.
- Responsibility for all regulatory updates and filings, including ACRA, Commission of Charities and Giving.sg.
(3) Business Reporting
- Conduct market and industry analysis to identify business opportunities and threats.
- Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions.
- Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimisation strategies.
- Document and communicate the results of your efforts.
- Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reports.
