• Provide timely escalation/report to system support team lead concerning BAU matters, tracks and manage the production issue from opening to closure, including follow-up fixes wherever is applicable.
• Work with cross functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
• Performance analysis and fine tuning of industry cut off time-sensitive systems.
• Assess operational readiness of new products / applications / flows and execute continuous service improvement plan, process improvement.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with all relevant business users/operation support center as well as providing effective and timely support for production issues as well as queries.
• Contribute in effective knowledge management best practices within team and organization. Support the upkeep of the supporting documentation related to the application system in-charged.
• Support system resiliency activities such as DR exercise, BCP and system improvement planning.
• Liaise with various support units such as Data Security, Infrastructure, Technical Service, and Quality Assurance on system/application setup, environment and deployment.
• Work with level 1 support in application knowledge transfer in establishing standard first level recovery process/system health check monitoring/scheduled activities as well as common application user queries.
• Work with project/development/Level 3 team in permanent resolution/change request management – all types including enhancements, bug fixes, etc.
• Provide after office hours standby support (on rotation basis) and for emergency recoveries.

Job Objectives:

Application support Lead to provide efficient application support service for cross-functional or regional applications to provide a stable a production environment to business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day to day issues including daily health checks of applications and processes, working closely with various stakeholders (Users, Development team, Vendor, Infrastructure team, Operation team and Incident and Management team, etc) to prioritize and resolve reported production incidents
• Act as the focal point for critical/high impact incident resolution for application systems that are in production
• Manage and support high-availability 24/7 production systems with an on call option during non-office hours with team member’s rotation on weekly basis. Require to be in onsite depends on issue criticality.
• Ensure end of day batch process is getting completed successfully for multiple applications across country on every day.
• Correlate events across multiple systems to narrow down potential root causes of problems.
• Own production operational issues by issuing initial response, data gathering, tracking, and resolution where possible as well as determining escalation protocol based on the nature of the issue
• Ability to direct multiple resources on cross functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex systems issues
• Investigate production issues and provide workaround to user to move business forward. And engage analysis to L3/Vendor team for further investigation
• Manage and respond to users on timely manner for reported production issues/clarification
• Monitor production activities/processes to ensure timely and effective reporting, tracking, follow-up and communication of problems to internal and external clients, technical resources, and executives
• Perform Disaster Recovery (DR) exercise for multiple applications across all country on every year
• Generate one time report as per user request/audit request
• Run problem governance call with business user, Dev and Vendor to prioritize problem tickets and ensure to review before problem ticket get resolved
• Ensure to bring-up all service after system maintenance / OS patching / DB patching activity

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 8-10 years of hands-on experience in Java, J2EE, JMS, Webservices, Micro Service, Oracle, UNIX, IBM MQ Series, CTRL+M, Splunk
• Strong Swift product knowledge and hands on experience in supporting Swift related products like Swift Alliance, Alliance Messaging HUB, GPI, SAG/SNL.
• Hands-on experience in IT Operations/Production support L2/L3.
• Experience in ITIL process and tools like Control-M is a plus.
• Strong analytical & trouble shooting skills required.
• Experience in Disaster Recovery planning and test execution.
• Exhibits problem solving skills and shows flexibility in supporting evolution in process, standards, and strategy.
• Experience working in financial services industry supporting mission critical applications is a big plus.

About The Role

We are looking for a passionate Production Technician to join our team in Jurong Island, Singapore. This role will focus on supporting the day team operations of the antioxidants manufacturing plant and ensure compliance to all production, EHS and quality standards in accordance with local and company’s regulations and SOPs. You will be responsible to support Day Shift Leader/Production Manager on special tasks and improvement projects.

How You Will Do It

Good knowledge of Blending, Compacting, tank farm, packaging, and utility section to fulfill the responsibilities as follows:

• Operate Tank Farm, Compactor/ Blending and Packing Lines in accordance with the laid down procedures and as instructed by Day Shift Production Manager or his assigned Deputy
• Supervise other leasing staff in ensuring packaging and tank farm operations are executed in a safe and correct manner and in line with quality expectations
• Ensure correct day shift hand over of ongoing activities, liaise and communicate with the rotating shift teams and logistics team as needed to facilitate smooth execution of tank farm operations and packaging operations
• Maintain high level housekeeping of the units and surrounding areas, keeping tank farm and the packaging line areas safe and clean as well as assisting with site waste management concept for disposal
• Ensure temporary equipment charges, process documentation and software changes etc. are properly recorded.
• In case of emergency, to perform the activities of a firefighting brigade member after shutting down the plant safely as per the emergency shutdown procedure.
• Troubleshoot where required, initiates corrective measures in concurrence with day supervisor and maintain proper documentation trail with temporary equipment change
• Report all accident, injury, near miss, unsafe conditions and behaviour promptly to immediate supervisor so that remedial action can be taken to eliminate risks.
• Ensure to adhere to safety protocols. This includes keeping up to date with EHS risk assessments and using PPE as stipulated for the job.

What We Look For

• O-levels/A-levels, NITEC or Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Process Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an automated chemical process plant or packaging line in a similar role.
• Familiarity with both Panel (DCS) and field operations for blending, tank farm and packaging
• Well-versed in Microsoft Office programs and use of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and SAP PM module for creating documents such as delivery notes, scanning of raw material and finished products.
• Able to work in Jurong Island.
• Able to work on shift if required.
