Working as an Assistant Asset Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the delivery of our mechanical & water quality safety requirements, striving to achieve a key part of the Council’s vision – “people enjoy better health throughout their lives”
Working with colleagues, partners, and external consultants, you will ensure that a high quality, customer focused, and efficient mechanical and water quality safety function is delivered. You will take responsibility for both strategic and operational matters relating to mechanical and water quality compliance within the Corporate Landlord & Capital Service.
Responsibilities will extend within a matrix arrangement and the post holder will ensure a joined-up response to complex problems that may cut across the Corporate Landlord & Capital service, as well as other services/directorates.
The core responsibilities of the post include
- Delivering the mechanical and water quality maintenance/safety requirements of the Council as per current legislation
- Ensuring mechanical and water quality compliance of all Council assets
- Attend meetings with internal & external suppliers to ensure delivery of all commissioned services
- Responsible for assisting the Asset Maintenance Officer (Mechanical) to manage and maintain frameworks and contracts with external suppliers including KPI’s
- Responsibility for updating PPM schedules and risk logs and uploading data to FM databases
- Proactive programming of mechanical & water quality testing and risk assessments
- Working as a member of multi-disciplinary design teams delivering mechanical & water quality requirements for capital/revenue investment projects
- Provision of competent advice and support in relation to mechanical and water quality maintenance to the Corporate Landlord & Capital service and the Council more widely
Extensive experience in mechanical & water quality maintenance and framework/contractor management is essential for this role.
