The role
As a Baseband Security Lead, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. As the Baseband Security Lead, you will act as the Technical Design Authority (TDA) for security within highly complex technical design or service issues that cannot be resolved through the normal operations and maintenance procedures and provide leadership for root cause analysis.
Day-to-day, you'll support concept, high level design, low level design and implementation planning as well as:
- Supporting incident response teams
- Providing input into the technical steering community and security working groups
- Reviewing IT health checks on perimeter and internal defences
- Defining requirements for suppliers, ensuring the proposal and deliverable meets the needs of the business
- Acting as a 4th line technical lead to resolves technical problems
This position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role.
This role is full time, 37-hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with three days in the office/onsite and two days working from home.
Essential experience of the Baseband Security Lead
- Previously held senior engineering roles within projects to deliver change to complex, large scale networks
- An expert knowledge of all aspects of IT security
- Awareness of current trends in IT security
- An understanding of UK regulatory and compliance matters including GDPR
- In depth knowledge on firewalls, IDS, IPS and Encryption. Product experience covering Cisco technologies including SDA, SD-WAN, ASAs, FTDs, FMC, PxGrid, ISE, TrustSec, SecureX 'EDR', ACI, SSE, Umbrella+SIG, Skylight tooling, Cybervision (IOT security)
Qualifications for the Baseband Security Lead
- Cisco CCIE- Security Certification
- HND (Level 5) or equivalent in a STEM subject
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
