Shift Pattern: 48 hours per week

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Recording of vehicles, visitors and contractors as well as all site activities maintaining accurate records and a site daily occurrence record
• Monitor site visually and via CCTV and be fully conversant with the CCTV and site electronic security systems responding to alerts and alarms as required
• Completing regular site patrols and inspections of client's premises in accordance with the assignment Instructions
• To show a professional security presence throughout the site
• To fulfil health and safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the company's Health & Safety policy and Health & Safety Management plans

Standard Rate: £11.44 per hour + 33 days holiday pay

As a Prison Security Escort, you will work alongside the prison service, assisting our client who is responsible for the maintenance of the buildings. You will be a part of security team where you will escort and oversee contractors such as carpenters, plumbers and electricians, whilst they complete their maintenance work.

Duties of a Prison Security Escort Include (but not limited to)

• Checking the identification of the contractors
• Checking contractors have been briefed on security measures
• Booking in and out of the contractors
• Creating a tool list
• Escorting contractors through the prison to their place of work
• Overseeing contractors whilst they are working (Please note you will have to stay with the contractors at all times)
• Checking contractor tools are all accounted for prior to leaving work area
• Using the radio to request permission to move contractors within the prison

Job Overview

-To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes.

-Delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer through full responsibility and accountability, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract.

-To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development.

-£13.97 per hour

Main Duties

Operations

-To be aware of and ensure compliance with all aspects of policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK Law and Guidance bodies.

-Fully and satisfactorily complete all of the tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).

-Proactively refer to and review the published Assignment Instructions, thus familiarising oneself with any changes in order to suggest additional amendments that will improve or enhance the current level of service.

-To be compliant with Industry and Statutory Legislation (you are required to obtain a front-line licence in either Security Guarding or Door Supervision), which must be worn at all times whilst carrying out your duties. The Customer also requires a CCTV PSS SIA Licence. There are also additional courses that are contractually required.

-Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.

-Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.

-Work in a systematic, methodology and orderly way.

Training

-Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.

-To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development as directed by the Security Account Manager.

-Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development.

-You are required to ensure you renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.

Security and Health & Safety

-Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.

-Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.

-Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening.

-To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.

-Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process.

-Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.

-To ensure check calls are being carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI's).

-To call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents.

What we are looking for

-Previous Security Experience (At leat 3 years, Manned Guarding, police or Military)

-SIA License

-SC Clearance desirable

About the Role

Base Location: Havant, Reading, Cardiff, Perth, Glasgow

Salary: £58,630 - £68,098 and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

As the SSE Cyber Incident Response Analyst, youll be responsible for managing Cyber Security incidents and threats to much of the UKs Critical National Energy Infrastructure. We also have increasing global investments which need to be protected to the same levels.

You'll actively be looking for vulnerabilities and identifying potential threats; both within the corporate environment and externally.

- Leading Cyber Security investigations to provide post-mortem analysis to illuminate issues and possible solutions.

- Development and optimisation of the security tooling to ensure effective discovery of suspicious activity.

- Leading security incident management and participate in problem and change management forums where required.

- In conjunction with the inhouse Threat Intelligence team and external agencies, research and investigate attack techniques to develop detection analytics to defend against them.

- Discover and identify misconfigurations or coverage gaps in existing controls.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Inquisitive mindset and attention to detail.

- Significant work experience in managing incidents.

- Knowledge of automation and scripting.

- In depth knowledge of Infrastructure, cloud, networking, common operating systems and an awareness of Operational Technology Security.

- You'll need a high level of technical skills and your day-to-day workload will typically include the management and analysis of Cyber Security events, escalation and remediation as required.

To assist in the installation of Intruder and Fire Alarms at a range of customer sites. Testing existing systems for correct operation. Some property maintenance. Must be physically fit, flexible working hours, willing to travel with our existing engineer. 4-5 days a week.
