What will I do in this position if hired?

In this Grants Management Specialist position, you will be responsible for financial management of BRIC grants. You will be performing final review of completed grant or cooperative agreements/awards and making appropriate adjustments. You will be performing post award management, including process grant closeout, monitoring and audits requirements.

Typical assignments include:

• Review grant application with respect to grants administration requirements; this includes review of the SF424 Application for Federal Assistance and required assurances, Management Costs and processing through FEMA GO
• Provide consultation to program partners and recipients with regard to the requirements of 2 CFR 200 and FEMA Grants Management Policy Manual (GMPM)
• Tracking quarterly expenditures of grants funds
• Financially monitoring recipient (state and tribe) grants management procedures
• Finalizing reconciliation and closeout of grant awards for BRIC program
• Serve as BRIC (Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities) liaison to grantees and within FEMA.
• Conduct financial monitoring across the grant lifecycle for the BRIC program and other non-disaster grants as needed; Tracking quarterly expenditures of grants funds
• Conduct financial monitoring in accordance with FEMA GMPM and Grant Programs Directorate policy. This includes documenting allowability of cost determinations and coordinating with program on findings.
• Review grant applications for fiscal integrity; draft and approve award packages. Document application review decisions regarding, revision requests, and determinations of allowability and compliance with administration regulations and guidance in coordination with program.
• Conduct quarterly cash analysis and reconciliation; Review quarterly and final financial reports (SF-425) for compliance with terms and conditions of the grant award, confirmation that cost share or match has progress or is met and ensure that reports are submitted on time. Review quarterly and final performance reports and note areas of risk. Document analysis per GMPM requirements.
• Conduct financial system cross checks to verify accuracy of Final Federal Financial Report; ensure match has been met and there are no additional cash or cost adjustments necessary; document review of final financial report and system review in closeout workbook.
• Manage period of performance for grants including extension requests.
• Perform financial monitoring on selected recipients (state and tribe), remotely and through site visits to evaluate grants management procedures

Hours and pay -


Hours are negotiable and can be flexible depending on the need.

What skills and experience we're looking for

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly skilled Teacher of Science who is a specialist in Physics across the age and ability range at KS3 and KS4 within a high achieving team.

We are seeking to appoint a capable, dynamic and creative individual with excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Science. The appointed candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching and learning and an ability to engage and inspire students of all ages and attainment levels.

The Science Department at Linton Village College is successful and highly regarded with a reputation for excellent standards of teaching and learning and strong academic outcomes. At Linton, we are committed to educating the whole child and offering a wide range of enrichment opportunities and STEM activities.
