Executive, Finance Operation, NTU Shared Service – Finance

This position is responsible for providing transactional and administrative support to ensure accurate, effective and efficient operations of Non-Supplier Invoice/Payment Processing. The Executive will carry out accounting tasks that are related to the actual efficient maintenance and processing of the university’s accounts payable and reimbursement transactions. Position Summary:

Overview & Responsibilities

This role is to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient business, financial, and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes. The main focus of this position is finance, but there will be cross training in the order management, procurement, and operations functional business areas, as well other assigned functions. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. This position is also responsible for the investigation and triage of application systems problems, generating and compiling reports on findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to system issues. The incumbent will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments.

Flexible/Hybrid Work Schedule: The work schedule for this position will be a combination of working remote and working in the Jeannette, PA office (as little as one day per week or up to five days per week)

Job responsibilities: 

1. Understand and execute to the policies and procedures defined in the Systems Delivery Methodology (SDM) and the Project Management Office (PMO).

2. Perform as an Oracle finance functional analyst responsible for analysis, solution design, testing, and production support of Oracle EBS Financial Modules and Oracle EPM (FCCS and ARCS).
3. Act as a backup role for other key business functional areas, including order management, procurement, and operations. 
4. Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing application systems; and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.

At American Family Insurance Claims Services (AFICS, Inc.), we're embarking on a transformation of our claims capabilities to put customers at the center of what we do best – protecting and restoring their dreams when they need us most. You will investigate and maintain property or catastrophe claims . You will determine liability, secures information, review coverages, arrange appraisals, and settles claims. You will report to the CAT Property Claims Manager.

We are hiring for two roles. The first role will be deployed ot the field when a catastrophe occurs. This role offers a company fleet vehicle is provided with the position and there's an option to use the vehicle for personal use. You'll receive incentive pay of $150/day (Monday-Friday) and $200/day (weekends and holidays). Ideal candidates will preferrably located in the midwest or Texas. You will be required to travel up to 75% for CAT duty.

The second role is a combination of CAT field and desk claims. This role doesn't include a fleet vehicle or CAT pay. Travel is anticipated to be up to 50% of the time.

Compensation Minimum:$55,000 / year

Compensation Maximum:$90,000 / year

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location.

Primary Accountabilities

• Investigate origin and cause of claims by contacting the appropriate parties including insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, contractors, experts, special investigation unit, other adjusters, public personnel, etc.
• Identify complex issues and seeks assistance as needed. Handle claims on a good faith basis.
• Handle both 1st party and 3rd party claims under multiple policy types and numerous endorsements.
• Conduct on-site inspections when needed, evaluates damages, and handles claim negotiations with insureds, claimants, attorneys, public adjusters.
• Respond to customer inquiries, makes appropriate decisions and closes file.
• Interpret and determine policies, leases, by-laws, declarations, articles and contract coverages and applies to all parties for assigned losses.
• Provides all parties with claim process and status; answers questions or redirects to other areas.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

• Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
• Demonstrated experience handling 1st and 3rd party, multi-line claims across our operating territories, or other equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience handling moderately complex claims, or other equivalent experience.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of policies and endorsements related to casualty coverages, or other equivalent knowledge.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of each phase of the claim handling process, or other equivalent knowledge.

Licenses

• Valid driver's license required plus an acceptable driving record.
• Obtain state specific property casualty claims licensing as required.

Travel Requirements

• Catastrophe duty up to 75% as applicable.

Physical Requirements

• Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like. This position may require employees to visit areas that have a higher hazard than a typical office such as customer homes, body shops, or other locations.
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.

Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
