WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT MANAGER
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced individual to join our team as a Warehouse Assistant Manager for our oil palm company based overseas (Papua New Guinea). This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and effective management of our procurement and warehouse operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, and distribution of materials and products.
- Implement and maintain efficient inventory management systems to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
- Implement and enforce safety and security protocols within the warehouse.
- To manage the requisition order by estate and oil mill
- To manage the purchase order for local supply
- To ensure the accountability for stock items receive & stock issue
- To plan & manage the safety stock
- To maintain the inventory system by ensuring all the inventory had the proper coordination
- To ensure all the inventory flow can be tracked properly
- To be responsible for the development of staff by providing training
- To ensure that safety and health requirements are met in the warehouse
- Responsible for the security of the stock and the warehouse
- Responsible for the maintenance of housekeeping in the warehouse
- All other assignments assigned by the superior from time to time.
- Familiar with machinery spare parts, building material to be added advantage
- Continuously assess and improve purchasing and warehouse processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement best practices in procurement and inventory management to enhance overall operational effectiveness
Requirements
- Possess a minimum SPM &Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years experiences in logistics and warehousing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to communicate in English, both written and spoken. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are important in a multiracial working environment.
- Overseas working experience and exposure to plantation industry are added advantages.
