We have a vacancy for a senior IT analyst to join our Clinical Scientific Computing team within the Department of Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering at UCLH.
As a key member of the team of 5 analysts, you will report to the Team Lead for the UCLH Clinical Scientific Computing Technical Operations Team of IT Analysts and will have the satisfaction of applying your IT knowledge and experience, your customer focus and your team working skills to support clinicians and their patients across our hospitals.
You will already be an experienced IT Analyst working independently, providing excellent support to service users. We would prefer that you have experience in supporting clinical systems, connected medical devices and end user technology within a hospital environment, however we also welcome applications from qualified candidates with solid IT experience developed in more general IT environments. You will be able to demonstrate that you are a team player, working to high standards of performance and safety, and motivated to always ensure services are provided to enhance and improve safe patient care.
You will work closely with the IT Analyst Team Lead as well as with the other IT analysts within your team and the clinical scientists within Clinical Scientific Computing. You will develop strong and productive working relationships with staff in the clinical teams that you support.
The successful person will be required to:
• Provide second line support of end user technology and first line, when required.
• Setup and provide second line support of medical device connectivity and data storage.
• Provide second line support of servers and file share management, and first line, when required.
• Provide systems administration and second line support for specific clinical applications in BAU.
• Project manage aspects of systems upgrade and implementation projects.
You will ensure that all work is completed in line with the department’s quality management system, with all support requests recorded in the team’s ticket management system. You will ensure that your team follows good practice in record keeping and communicates effectively with customers.

The Clinical Scientific Computing Sectionprovides services to clinical and scientific teams and to researchers, predominantly throughout UCLH, across the following areas of work:
· Whole life cycle support of medical IT systems.
· Management of computing infrastructure including desktops, servers, and file storage.
· Medical device software and healthcare software development.
· Healthcare data science and healthcare informatics.
· Support for research, development and digital innovation.
