The department at QH is equipped with Roche Cobas 8100 automated workflow series, Cobas 8000 analysers (c702/ e801) and COBAS Pure analyser in the Hot Lab.

At KGH it is also equipped with Roche Cobas analysers (c702/e801), Roche P612 pre-analytic, Sebia Capillaries Electrophoresis analysers, Phadia 250 analysers for RAST testing, Binding Site Optilite for Serum Free Light Chain assays.

The Prenatal Screening Department based at King George Hospital provides a high-quality screening service for chromosomal disorders, such as Down's syndrome, to antenatal patients at the Trust and to a number of antenatal centres in London and the Southeast.

We operate a 24/7 service on both sites. The Trust is currently exploring an alternative system to accommodate the increasing demand for routine 24/7 testing.

This is a full time post working 37.5 hours per week. A flexible attitude to working hours is essential. The hours are currently within a framework of 08.00–20.00 including weekend & Bank Holiday working. These arrangements are subject to continuing review.

The role is supported by a team of therapists guiding and educating in the delivery of physiotherapy and occupation therapy programmes. Responsibilities include; To deliver safe and skilled person centred support to residents of RBWM in their own homes. This can include personal care, meal preparation, medications and rehabilitation programmes. To provide detailed feedback to the therapy team/service coordinators and duty officers to enable the rehabilitation plans to be reviewed and updated as the service user progresses back to independence, the service provides equipment to allow the team to manage this. To report any deterioration and or changes in condition to enable appropriate medical interventions to take place, this may include liaising with district nurses, GPs, social workers and other allied health professionals. To confidently use initiative and decision-making skills in order to keep the service users safe and free from harm in the community. To participate fully in weekly and monthly team meetings, supervision and appraisal process. To work with families and carers to explain, and support them to understand, the rehabilitation process. We're looking for a Lead Technical Solution Specialist to join our wider Digital Technology & Data team in Manchester and provide experienced advice, guidance, and support across the full suite of Power Platform tools (e.g. Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI etc). As a Lead Technical Solution Specialist at Co-op, you'll contribute to our digital transformation efforts by providing hands-on development, architecture guidance, and solution design. We'll look to you to play a key role in shaping how we use Power Platform services and tools, making sure that solutions are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with our business objectives.

What you'll do

• Use your expertise and knowledge of Power Platform to share best practices, and communicate what the platform can do, and where it might have limits
• Collaborate with colleagues across Co-op to build an understanding of what they need, then share recommendations that utilise the full Power Platform suite
• Design and build full solutions that meet business objectives while keeping things scalable, secure, and performing well
• Run workshops, demos, and proof of concepts to show colleagues the potential uses of Power Platform tools
• Provide hands-on development, troubleshooting, and quality assurance for complex Power Platform solutions
• Establish and promote best practices for solution design, development, deployment, and maintenance within the Power Platform
• Mentor and support your team members, sharing knowledge and skills to help develop a strong and capable Power Platform team

This role would suit people who have

• In-depth expertise in the Microsoft Power Platform suite, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Copilot Studio, with hands-on development experience
• A strong background in solution and technical architecture with experience in integrating and creating custom connectors with various third-party systems
• Proven experience in a consultancy role, with the ability to communicate the value and benefits of using Power Platform's capabilities
• A passion for continuous improvement and a keen interest in exploring new functionalities that create business value
• A solid understanding of API management and integration best practices
• Experience collaborating with colleagues at all levels of seniority to understand their needs and develop appropriate Power Platform solutions
• Good communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts in a way that is accessible to a non-technical audience
