The SCF will attend the daily general surgical hand-over meeting from 7:30 to 8:00 am. The SCF will share with the SpRs the responsibility to lead a full daily ward round along with the rest of the team team. The SCF will be responsible for the day to day management decisions of all patients. The complexity of these patients often requires experience, knowledge, ability for clinical decision making and ability to liaise with all members of the MDM for co- ordination of care. The SCF will be responsible to operate either with or without supervision on appropriately allocated patients on an elective or emergency basis. The SCF will be expected to cooperate with, instruct, teach and supervise other doctors of the Firm at SpR, JCF, SHO, F1/F2 level in their clinical work and audit activity of the unit.
