About the role
We are looking for a talented Construction CRE Track to join our Rail team and work on the successful delivery of the rail works associated with the Sizewell C project.
*** This role will be based in London until Sizewell Project offices are operational in Suffolk ***
What you'll be doing
- Provide the Project Team with discipline-specific technical guidance, leadership, and site safety oversight, monitoring project performance to maximise efficiency and ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate and manage Track discipline engineering activities across all relevant internal and external parties.
- Develop and adapt project Technical Instructions for the Track discipline to support efficient and safe project methodologies and installation activities.
- Ensure that discipline design and installation comply with all applicable standards, legislation, contract requirements, and specifications.
- Adhere to the risk assessment and mitigation plan to manage technical risks effectively during pre-construction and delivery phases.
- Support the Project Team in reviewing and executing Track design and construction activities, including assessing construction risks, mitigation strategies, method statements, and work package plans.
- Conduct technical, quality, and compliance audits as required to confirm the project follows applicable standards and legislation, BBR processes, procedures, and industry best practices.
Who we're looking for
- Minimum HNC/HND in Civil Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) (desirable).
- Strong and proven experience in a similar role on railway infrastructure project.
- Strong knowledge of site engineering practices and equipment.
- PTS certification.
- Collaborative and influential leadership skills.
- Excellent communication, with ability to listen, provide clear and concise instruction during normal and emergency situations, is assertive and shares information effectively.
