Merthyr Tydfil Council Children's services are seeking to recruit a Leaving Care Personal Advisor to join the 16+ team. The role is hybrid working with a mixture of home working, visits in the community with service users and office based work. As such, there is a requirement for the successful candidate to be a car driver as you will still be providing face-to-face support to young people across the local area where applicable. Duties of the role:

• Have case responsibility for young people post 18 and ensure their pathway plans are reviewed every six months and changed to reflect their circumstances.

• Act as an advocate for service users and take on a quality assurance role, by ensuring pathway plans are specifically tailored to the service users' needs and have clear identifiable objectives and outcomes
• Offer direct support to young people who live independently, and coordinate their support with issues such as, education and training and to advise them on maximising their income

You will have the ability to work under pressure on different projects simultaneously and be able to prepare regular progress reports for Coordinators and managers, whilst ensuring regular attendance at premises.

Falkirk Council is inviting applications to undertake the role of Housing Support Assistant on a permanent basis delivering trauma-informed support to the residents of the Castings.

If you are keen to learn new skills in a challenging environment, gain valuable experience and make a difference to people’s lives then the Castings is for you. You will be working alongside an established team delivering person-centered support to vulnerable adults in a housing support service.

The Castings is beginning a magical transformation, and we are looking for enthusiastic individuals to be a part of this journey. Educated to, or working towards, SVQ Level 3 in Social Care or equivalent, you will be familiar with the SSSC codes of practice. You will also have a sound knowledge of the causes of homelessness as well as being acquainted with homeless legislation. You must have a working knowledge of the benefits system and welfare rights.

You will work 15 hours per week. Shift Time 07:30 hrs. – 15:00 hrs & 14:45 hrs. – 22:15 hrs, Saturday & Sunday.
