About the Role
Base Location: Elgin or Huntly
Salary: £26,609 - £30,472 + overtime + standby allowance + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances, and wellbeing.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time
As Groundworker/HGV driver, you'll be responsible for:
- Ground working including laying various type and sizes of cable in line with business requirements.
- Excavations for new connections and fault investigation. General track works, reinstatement of various forms of streetscape in the footpath and carriageway.
- Standby duties to support the business in responding to faults overnight and at weekends, on a rotated basis.
- This role requires a flexible approach as duties may vary to meet business needs.
- Driving a heavy goods vehicle.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Previous experience working in a similar role and a current class 2 HGV driving license.
- Duties involved in this role can be physically demanding, and will involve working in all weathers, a 'can-do' attitude and excellent team working skills are essential.
- An NRSWA Street Works ticket, HIAB training and/or any experience of operating plant with relevant tickets/qualifications, are not essential, but would be advantageous.
- A high appreciation for safety in everything you do, and work with your team to promote a strong safety culture.
