This position is located in the Joint Forces Headquarters-State, Logistics Directorate (J-4), Surface Maintenance Facility. The purpose of this position is to perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, inspection, and/or overhaul of a variety of combat, tactical, commercial, and special purpose vehicles and equipment.

DUTIES: Troubleshoots, performs maintenance and major repairs on heavy-duty mobile equipment, combat, tactical and automotive vehicles. This may include self-propelled artillery, tracked cargo and personnel carriers, road graders, mobile cranes, front loaders, conveyors, bulldozers, power shovels, compressors, generators, tanks, tracked combat vehicles, sedans, buses, all terrain vehicles, trucks, semi trailers, forklifts, tractors, and accessory equipment. This is a provisional position description that projects duties and responsibilities associated with the Joint Staff. Employs advanced management principles, data compilations, and the development of recommendations to affect current sources, infrastructure, and future requirements. Provides oversight, coordination, and administration of activities and programs which integrate military and non-military agencies and international programs as directed by NGB, Combatant Commanders (CoComs), Department of State, and other appropriate tasking authorities. Provides oversight of state partnership programs and other international partnership activities.

• You will read and interpret and correctly follow complex written instructions, drawings, specifications, engineering standards, and manufactures requirements.
• You will plan, organize, coordinate, and implement numerous quality-related issues and elements as they relate to the requirements and documentation of critical coated areas.
• You will keep supervisor updated on status and progress of work, causes of delays, and overall work operations and problems.
• You will assign immediate tasks to crew members and provide written and oral directions.
• You will perform other duties as assigned.
