PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Director, Financial Analysis is responsible for providing timely and accurate analytical support through subordinates in the creation and maintenance of financial models for diverse business development initiatives.  The incumbent reviews and approves recommendations for financial planning and control and provides relevant fiscal information to management.  The Director, Financial Analysis provides the overall direction of the execution of functions, ensuring best practices while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), and other regulatory requirements.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide strategic leadership of short- and long-term goals through the use of thoughtful techniques in the communication of the company's mission and core values as a means to implement positive change and/or create organizational structure within the assigned business unit(s).
• Lead operational efforts through subordinates to complete the administration of business processes and services to ensure the operations effective achievement of goals within the assigned business unit(s).

• This position will be the global clinical lead for a medicine with one or more indications within the Oncology Research and Development organization and will provide strategic and technical guidance at an asset and/or indication level, as well as coordination and support to Oncology Clinical Leads, Medical Monitors and non-MD clinicians.

Contribution to Projects:

• Accountable for developing and delivering the integrated clinical development plan that is consistent with the overarching strategy and vision for prostate cancer, with well-designed studies and the most efficient use of budget and resources, and risk and quality assessment. 
• Leads design, implementation, and interpretation of pivotal studies as part of the global clinical program (one or more indications) for a drug candidate to deliver a successful regulatory submission worldwide, working closely with the Development Head.
• Single point of contact for Clinical Development to the Medicine Team, and leader of the Clinical Sub-Team related to assigned assets or indications.
• Leads the preparations of the clinical content of regulatory submissions/documents (e.g., NDA, MAA, IND, sNDA, IB, AR/DSRU, label changes, Core Data Sheet, Package Insert).
• Provides clinical input in the preparation and execution of meetings with health authorities, including leading discussions with regulators and leading/contributing to regulatory query responses.
• Maintains and enhances knowledge in relevant therapeutic or technical areas and in global regulations/guidelines.
• Creates and maintains a network with key opinion leaders.

Qualifications:

Training and Education:

• MD or MD/PhD

• Prior development or academic expertise in prostate cancer required.
• Strong academic background as showcased through multiple publications in peer reviewed journals, strongly preferred.

Prior Experience:

• Demonstrated accomplishments or formal training in Oncology
• 10+ years of clinical development experience in the health sciences, preferably GU oncology stretching academic and industry career.
• 2+ years pharmaceutical industry experience (minimum depending on academic experience prior to industry)

Key Competencies and Characteristics:

Position Summary: 
This Director level role will lead process optimization and change management efforts across Customer Onboarding.  The individual will partner with the Vice President of Customer Onboarding, and the Executive Director leadership team to identify and execute optimization efforts, including process, organizational design and technology initiatives.  They will work with Operations leaders to establish best-in-class processes and innovate the overall Onboarding experience for athena customers.  The Director of Process Optimization will build and lead a team of process optimization experts that can partner across Customer Onboarding to mine opportunities and drive improvements proactively. This role will work with process owners, subject matter experts and leadership to continuously improve quality standards and productivity by utilizing process improvement methodologies (i.e. Lean and Six Sigma) to measure, improve and ensure the robustness and scalability of processes.

Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): 

60% Process Optimization and Change Management Execution

• Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by partnering with stakeholders to establish best-in-class policies and processes, identify opportunities to enhance the end-to-end customer onboarding value steam and improve the customer experience

• Provide leadership of cross-organizational transformation efforts

• Build project management capability to run programs within Customer Onboarding as well as in partnership with other Operations functions

• Work with cross functional partners to identify technology, tools and build business cases to support deployment of solutions and work simplification

• Work with the VP Customer Onboarding to manage and prioritize a portfolio of opportunities within Customer Onboarding that maximize impact and partner with IT, Operations and other cross-functional partners to deliver on the portfolio of initiatives and ensure value is tracked and captured

20% Support Customer Onboarding Operations and Partnership Collaborations

• Provide oversight and management of a portfolio of programs, projects and process improvement efforts, providing leadership and relationship management between Onboarding and other cross-organizational key stakeholders to drive optimization, efficiency and scalability

• Proactively develop and manage partnerships with Onboarding leadership, subject matter experts and key athena stakeholders to ensure consistent processes, and to provide guidance regarding the execution of changes as well as the controls necessary to sustain change 

• Analyze and measure the effectiveness of existing business processes. Develops sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable transformation efforts. 

• Research best practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmarks

Education & Experience Required 

• Bachelor of Arts or Science degree

• 10+ years’ experience in process improvement work utilizing continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Change management), tools, and techniques

• Project /Program Mgt. certification and/or experience, formal training or certification in process excellence tools and methodologies e.g., Six Sigma is an asset

• Experience in using data and analytics to identify opportunities and drive process automation improvements

Position Summary:

Red Oak seeks to add a Director, Strategic Pharmaceutical Sourcing to become part of our sourcing team and contribute to and help shape our bright future. Our new Director will be equal parts analytical thinker, negotiator, and relationship builder. They must have the poise and executive presence required to be a leader within the company, interact with other employees in a cross functional, company-wide manner, as well be outward facing in meetings with supplier partners and parent company contacts. Responsible for marketing, educating, promoting and selling Azura services to dialysis clinics, Medical Directors, nephrologists and other pertinent members of the medical community in an assigned territory. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides sales and relationship support to an assigned Azura territory identifying and developing new accounts for Fresenius Vascular Care services to generate revenue. Develops and maintains a close relationship with current user accounts/customers, and researches the local physician market to identify potential candidates/customers for Azura services making the necessary sales calls to recruit and educate these potential customers to grow the number of patient procedures performed at the Azura ambulatory centers. 

• Develops and maintains an in-depth knowledge of the vascular care business and services programs provided by Azura as well as the competitors in the local market and utilizes this to collect and analyze local market data to create and execute an effective strategic sales account plan that includes, but is not limited to the following:

• Knowledge of current procedure referral volumes by clinic / nephrologist / physician (for diversified procedures) and a specific plan to maintain.

• Identification of new potential customers/accounts in the territory, and a specific plan to gain referrals.

• Qualification of these potential customers/accounts by utilizing available reporting tools and analyzing the data and the appropriate territory information.

• Identification of customers' (both new and current) needs to present the competitive advantages of working with Azura to meet those needs.

• Contacts the prospective clients/accounts via onsite visits utilizing sales techniques and presentations to inform them of the range of services provided by Azura.

• Review of the strategic sales account plan on a quarterly basis to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.

• Maintains an excellent understanding and knowledge of the local market to monitor and quickly react to changes which may impact the company and the patient services provided.  Provides regular updates and communication regarding program status, customer service issues, and barriers and obstacles related to and affecting referrals for Azura services to the applicable management level as appropriate. 

• Provides presentations to all current and potential customers particularly physicians, and participates in local community programs utilizing the standard marketing materials to ensure a consistent and accurate message

• Acts as the customer relations contact and liaison between the dialysis clinics, specialty clinics and physician practices and the Azura Center. 

• Ensures high post-sales satisfaction facilitating long-term relationships and high potential for repeat business through regular visits and frequent communication with physicians, clinics and hospitals referring patients for Azura services.  Addresses any concerns they may have regarding all phases of the process - following up to ensure that any and all issues have been resolved to their satisfaction.

• Collaborates and strategizes with the Azura operations, marketing and physicians to identify and develop potential Azura referral sources, meeting on a regular basis to reconcile and discuss strategies to approach identified opportunities.

• Assists and collaborates with marketing department to develop and implement effective marketing campaigns identifying the successful initiatives, constantly updating and improving strategies to ensure achievement of goals.  

• Maintains current approved marketing and promotional materials for use in sales presentations. 

• Collects current market information regarding services pricing, existing services offerings and new services to monitor competition.

• Maintains detailed documentation regarding daily activities and initiatives for weekly review with manager.

• Participates in professional development opportunities to ensure development of skills and industry and field knowledge, utilizing the acquired expertise and knowledge to accomplish goals and objectives for position.

• Maintains and updates customer relationship management (CRM) tool for account records and activity reporting as directed by management.  Checks and responds to e-mails within implemented timeframe.

ROLE SUMMARY

The purpose of the Senior Director of Clinical Research role is to coordinate and lead the development of first in man (FIH), proof of mechanism (POM), proof of clinical activity (SoCA) and proof of concept (PoC) and dose ranging studies for novel biological and small molecule therapies in Neurology focused programs. 

• The Senior Director of Clinical Research will be responsible for the Phase 2, PoM and SoCA trial designs and implementation of the study in collaboration with Pfizer development operations and the project team to meet enrollment and study delivery timelines.  The clinical study lead will be the primary liaison for investigators who have enrollment or extraordinary protocol issues that require escalation and may need to conduct study site visits to ensure timely delivery of the study.
• The individual will be involved with a focus on clinical drug activities from discovery research through PoM, SoCA and PoC studies. They will be a key member on project teams to collaborate with Early Clinical Development (ECD) and ensure seamless transition of the new asset to the Pfizer Global Product Development (GPD) for Ph3 development.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Director of Clinical Research will develop a disease specific global network of potential investigators and key opinion leaders (KoL) for the new therapeutic before PoM, SoCA or POC trial conception to assist in trial design, as well as management and recruitment of study, analysis, interpretation and presentation of results. Design PoM, SoCA or POC studies in consultation with KOLs and Pfizer project team members (Stats, Clin Pharm, Regulatory, Operations, etc.).

• Develop the primary and secondary endpoints for efficacy and safety and contribute to the precision medicine and biomarker strategy as well as to the biostatistics analytic plan that is aligned with the transition target product profile.

Work on transition team with Late-stage development colleagues to analyze and interpret final POC clinical data in achieving study objectives and develop the phase 3 clinical strategy to support seamless transfer of the asset to the respective Phase3 team.

Establish relationships with external experts, consultants, opinion leaders, regulators and disease specific investigator networks.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Requires MD or MD/PhD, neurology specialty required, but other specialists with experience in neurology clinical trials will be considered.

Technical Skills: Experience in generating hypothesis-driven research investigations.

Five or more years of experience in biopharmaceutical sponsored clinical research, with a minimum of two in neurology. Biopharmaceutical experience as a medical monitor and clinical lead across therapeutic areas is desirable.

Good understanding of relevant areas such as biostatistics, regulatory, clinical pharmacology, pre-clinical toxicology, pharmacogenomics and biomarker-based approaches.

Ability to analyze and interpret complex datasets.

Ability to operate with a sense of pace and urgency in matrixed project teams.

 of Moderna’s Rare Disease mRNA technologies within its Therapeutics portfolio at the global level. The candidate has responsibility, under the supervision of the Epi Director, who is the Program Lead for various Rare Disease to lead one of these indications.  This includes the design, development, conduct, analysis, reporting and publication of pharmacoepidemiologic research studies, PCOA measurement and development strategy (where warranted), plan and execute the early reimbursement/HEOR activities and provide epidemiologic and methodologic input towards the clinical development needs of mRNA technologies.

Epidemiology:

• Under the guidance and strategic leadership of the Senior Epi/ PCOA lead, accountable for the development and execution of the overall Epi/PCOA strategy for Propionic Acidemia (PA) and other future indications as determined by the needs of the portfolio.

• Provide Epi input to the product development, including clinical, safety, and economic outcomes and contribute to the integrated evidence plans for PA

• Design and execute pre-launch, launch and post-marketing epidemiology/real world evidence plans, as needed

• Responsible to support the strategy, vision and execution of high-quality pharmacoepidemiologic data outputs, for PA including:

  • Develop protocols, data analysis plans, study reports and peer-reviewed publications.

  • Conduct Literature reviews and gap analyses for safety, effectiveness, and impact studies.

• Leading early payer scientific advice with global stakeholders including strategic insights on PROs, economic models and trial design

• Defining and delivering the RWE and early HEOR strategy to support specified assets, and leading the integrated evidence teams to execute the activities needed for advancing assets through to launch

• Provide innovative solutions on RWE for use as a synthetic/historical or concurrent control, including expertise on methodological considerations to account for confounding, missing variable, temporal or other biases and/or methodological challenges which may need to be thought through, including alternative methodological approaches (Bayesian, Adaptive, etc)

• Develop research methodologies and implement innovative analytical approaches for Epi & RWE

• Develop protocols for RWD analysis of claims data or electronic health records and execution of RWE studies to identify and fill gaps and ensure delivery of robust evidence alongside clinical development and value-based RWE needs

• Proactively prepare for mRNA use and exposure by establishing epidemiological and RWE on the key disease, population, demographic and clinical variables

• Lead RWE publications for congresses and peer-reviewed journals

• Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with the broader Moderna organization and with external experts

Patient-Centered Outcomes Assessment (PCOA):

• Support PCOA, including the development, validation (or adaptation) and creation of Clinical Outcome Assessments (COA) and psychometric measurement strategy

The Role:

Reporting to the Director, CDO Business Analytics & Operations Management, the Associate Director, CDO Clinical Financial Planning will collaborate cross-functionally on the development and implementation of cost management tools and processes within Clinical Development Operations (CDO). The ideal candidate will bring experience in analyzing and reporting clinical trial financial data, with a primary focus on clinical trial costing, scenario planning, and exploring trial optionality.

This role is pivotal in rapidly driving financial decision making and requires a candidate who is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and has a knack for transforming complex data into actionable insights. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to communicate complex financial information to diverse teams and stakeholders, and to collaborate effectively across the organization.

This position will also play a key role in clinical study financial risk management and process improvement. They are expected to identify and advise study teams on financial risks and impact to budget, continuously enhance study financial planning processes, ensure compliance with standards and internal processes and procedures, and provide training and guidance on financial planning related to clinical trials.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

• Ensure accuracy of clinical trial budgets and forecasting, including modeling clinical study spend and supporting or developing system to support cost models with related assumptions

• Develop, implement, and support financial planning tools and models focused on costing clinical trials and identifying cost-efficient options

• Facilitate predictive analytics related to the cost of clinical trials, enabling rapid decision-making and efficiency

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to transform business questions and data into cost-effective solutions for clinical trials

• Lead initiatives and projects related to Clinical Financial Planning, ensuring solutions are scalable and follow best practices

• Deliver accurate, innovative, and timely insights (ex. creation of dashboards and monthly reports providing transparency into clinical trial costs and trends)

• Collaborate with CDO functions and R&D Finance to establish best practices, processes, and training for the financial planning of clinical trials

• Provide subject matter expertise to teams on financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting related to clinical trials

• Support teams in generating data around costing to allow for a financial assessment and impact for new studies, programs, and/or amendments to existing studies

• Identify potential financial risks for clinical trials and propose mitigation strategies

• Continuously evaluate and improve the planning process and systems used within role to increase efficiency and accuracy

• Provide input as needed to financial aspects of contracts and agreements with third party vendors providing services on clinical trials

• Liaise between R&D finance and CDO to ensure alignment and understanding of financial data on clinical trials

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:

• BA/BS required, advanced degree preferred

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a clinical research environment within the pharmaceutical, CRO and biotech industry

• Minimum of 7+ years of direct experience in clinical trial financial planning, reporting, and analysis

• Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting, with a strong understanding of financial systems and databases

• Experience with ClearTrial or similar software/tools preferred

• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with a demonstrated ability to transform complex data into actionable insights

• Record of establishing effective business relationships with internal and external customers, demonstrating strong collaboration skills, commitment to relationship building, and a relentless focus on delivering on commitments

• Ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment

• Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
