The post holder will work as part of the Diagnostic Cardiology team to provide high quality cardiac diagnostics, with patient care at the forefront. As a band 6 senior cardiac physiologist, you will participate in the day-to-day operation of the department, including teaching and training. The successful applicant should be competent at performing ECGs, provocative ECG and ambulatory ECG/BP analysis. The post holder should be competent in angiography/pacing or at performing echocardiograms, ideally working towards national accreditation for either CRM or Echocardiography. The post holder will maintain an interest in the profession, and knowledge of new techniques and protocols; attending courses where necessary, in line with the service demand. This will include following a personal development plan as part of the appraisal system. The post holder will remain professional at all times, liaise with other clinical teams and maintain good public relations on a one-to-one basis with the general public and other interest groups. The post holder will work as part of the Diagnostic Cardiology team to provide high quality cardiac diagnostics, with patient care at the forefront. As a band 7 Chief Cardiac Physiologist you will expected to perform complex diagnostics independently, as well as actively contributing to service development. The department currently conducts 12 lead ECGs, provocative ECG including MIBI and ETTs, ambulatory monitoring, Holter analysis and transthoracic echocardiography. We also provide transoesophageal echo, stress/contrast/bubble echo and physiologist-led valve disease clinics. We have a modern state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, where diagnostic angiography, ILR, pacemaker and CRT implants are performed. Alongside this we run a full in-clinic and remote bradycardia pacing and ILR follow up service, with a CRTP follow up service which we hope to expand. The post holder will be expected to contribute to an area of service delivery, as well as line-manage and train junior staff. The post holder will be expected to take an active role in service development, contributing to education, audit and quality assurance within the department.

Summary:

Plans and manages all aspects of the organization’s safety, health and environmental program, holding direct responsibility for compliance with global safety, health and environmental regulations, as well as company policies, which are designed to exceed compliance standards, within AFB’s global facilities by performing the following duties.

Job Duties:

Develop an EHS roadmap and departmental strategic initiatives which align with the organization’s values and strategy.

Directs EHS efforts at the global level; develops and implements global programs and policies for monitoring and preventing chemical hazards, physical hazards, and environmental hazards at the facility, as well as managing workers compensation.

Drives best in class (top quartile compared to industry standards) EHS initiatives and works cross departmentally to ensure that all programs and policies, which align with global standards, are being deployed at the regional and functional level.

Direct the development of safety, health and environmental auditing tools and global and environmental safety management systems for compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.

Develops and facilitates environmental health and safety training that can be deployed globally, including Operator training and leadership training and communication programs that will strengthen leadership’s understanding of company policy and compliance standards. 

Creates and deploys a global safety training matrix for required training by job function and region.

Maintains global compliance calendars for environmental permitting and reporting requirements and ensures adherence.

Maintains a close working relationship with all functional, site and regional EHS leaders.

Partners with functional and site leaders to identify and select qualified candidates for departmental roles. 

Foster retention and engagement of team members and support individual development.

This role will also have responsibility of managing workplace EHS for the St. Charles facility.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in safety, industrial hygiene, or related field, Masters preferred; and ten or more years of broad related experience in US and international environmental, health and safety management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is strongly preferred.  Prior experience with Lean Six Sigma systems and tools highly desired.

How You’ll Succeed

• Risk Management Leadership – You will manage and develop a team of Credit Risk professionals, sharing knowledge, growing skill, supporting productivity as well as employee engagement objectives. You will represent or lead as required in projects/initiatives that have  both Regional and National scope. You will interface with Leadership in our Business Partners, aligning objectives, activities and resources, and support the growth of credit capability and relationship trust with Commercial Bankers.

• Transactional Adjudication Expertise – You will ensure sound credit judgment is applied to credit requests, shaping credit solutions to align with our Risk Appetite. You will support evolution of and effective execution of approved risk rating methodologies, develop and maintain industry expertise within your team for the assigned industry sectors covered, and ensure credit applications and credit policies and processes are effectively managed, documented and adhered to.

• Portfolio Management – Measure, monitor and control credit risks, actively engaging your team to identify and assess challenges in accounts, industries, and shape action plans to effectively minimize capital and resource costs and loan losses. You will manage and review reporting processes to ensure that credit irregularities are identified and resolved on a timely basis and ensure performance of portfolio for trends; non-performing and problem accounts; assessing revenue and loss experience ratios; identification of under-performing units. Overall, you will assess effectiveness of current credit policies and procedures, develop action plans outlining corrective actions to be taken to resolve credit problems; and monitor such corrective plans for resolution and effectiveness.

How You’ll Succeed 

• CIRA - Complete Change Initiative Risk Assessment (CIRA) for new initiatives, investigate, document, and report on incidents and errors (regulatory and operational). Document and complete Business Continuity Planning milestones.

Who You Are

• You have minimum of an undergraduate degree in business or equivalent.

• You have industry experience. 3-5 years industry-related experience and understanding of the Direct Financial Services business lines, products and services (in particular Simplii Financial). General knowledge of the operational, regulatory, and reputation risks associated with Direct Financial Services businesses and a comprehension of the policies, standards, processes and controls that need to be in place to mitigate these risks.

• Leads a growing team of U.S. Wealth Technology professionals of roughly 150 people (44 FTE, others Contingent)
