• The duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Direct subordinates and/or provide; plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
• Hear and resolve complaints from employees – referring group grievances and more serious unresolved complaints to a higher-level manager.
• Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
• Make decisions on work problems presented by subordinates.
• Oversee the management and administrative support of the Warehouse and Commodity Management Division.
• Formulate and recommend to the Director and Senior Leadership, critical policies, methods, and procedures for carrying out the warehouse examination, licensing, cotton and price discovery programs.
• Recommend reasonable actions affecting the licenses or storage contracts of the warehouse operations, based on examination results.
• Serve as an agency authority and technical expert providing advice and guidance on all matters relating to division programs, specifically warehouse examination/licensing, warehouse liquidation/marketing, and the USWA.
• Research solutions to improve examination/licensing and other techniques used by the various states with the objective of expediting workflow and enhancing the quality of work.

• The duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Assists the Regional Director on a variety of assignments related to the administration and management of QAD commodities.
• Formulates and implement procedures, policies, and training programs within their region.
• Directs the work of key assistants and assures that grading activities are properly coordinated and administered.
• Supervises grading activities and provides guidance to a significant number of federal and or state employees on both administrative and technical matters.
• Assists in the execution and coordination of approved policies and programs to effectuate uniform and integrated programs throughout the incumbent’s region.
• Monitors funds obligated, expended, and collected in the execution of the program in the region.
• Reviews and evaluates operations in their designated area to appraise their effectiveness, adherences to regulations, and determining their deficiencies.
• Evaluates the technical adequacy and acceptability of the grading, certification, and auditing programs.

• Serves as Chief of Health Information Management (CHIM) with full program responsibility for all facets of the Health Information Management (HIM) program and processes.
• Ensures HIM program meets and/or exceeds national HIM policies, procedures, and performance metrics.
• Responsible for the administrative management of health records, which includes planning, managing, advising, and directing the health information program in accordance with applicable Federal laws, facility by-laws, VHA policy, The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), and other regulatory and accrediting agency standards.
• Responsible for all facets of health records management for the facility ensuring maintenance of complete, accurate, timely, clinically-pertinent, and readily-accessible patient health records, which contain sufficient recorded information to serve as a basis to plan patient care, support diagnoses, warrant treatment, measure outcomes, support education and facilitate performance improvement processes and legal requirements.
• Develops policies, processes, and procedures that address all VA, Federal, regulatory, and accrediting requirements for HIM.
• Provides detailed technical expertise in health records science and other very technical aspects of HIM.
• Maintains all health information input into the local VistA database and assures timely transmission of that data into all VA centralized databases.
• Assures all health information that is coded and abstracted meets the requirements of the VA and/or TJC and is consistent with professional health records standards.
• Serves as a key advisor to the Chief of Staff, Executive Management, and clinicians and is responsible for providing technical guidance on health information issues such as documentation requirements, liability issues, advance directives, informed consent, release of information, transcription/speech recognition, health information exchange.
• .Completes internal quality assurance reviews to ensure employee performance and that work meets quality and quantity standards.
• Establishes monitors to ensure the timeliness of health record entries and reports findings with subsequent trending of data.
• Serves as a key member of the Quality Improvement (QI) team, works closely with QI personnel, and is responsible for assuring that the facility is compliant with all TJC standards regarding health information.
• Assures that all patients have a complete, accurate, and timely record of their health care at the facility. Must assure that such information is appropriately stored and readily available for the provision of medical services to the patients.
• Responsible for leading the automation of all health information systems. .
• Conducts training programs in various areas health information management, such as medical terminology, health record documentation, release of information, medico-legal matters, speech recognition/transcription, scanning, medical coding, clinical documentation improvement, and health information exchange.
• Responsible for establishing formal affiliation with university programs in health information and precepting students from such programs.
• Provides direct support to Regional Counsel and as necessary consultation services to members of the Counsel's staff in areas dealing with health information.
• Actively participates at national and VISN levels as a resource person on health information matters.
• Participates in facility or VISN research activities related to health information and electronic health record (EHR) issues. - -Provides full support to accomplish VHA Central Office HIM Program Office strategic goals and objectives.

Business Performance

• Prepare, implement and compile data for the strategic sales plan, monthly reporting, annual goals, sales and marketing budget, forecasts and other reports as directed/required

• Analyze monthly P&L and month-end reports, identify deviation from business plan goals

• Work with Finance and team in preparation and management of the department’s budget and financial forecasts

• Participate in management meetings to review progress towards achievement of business plan goals and develop the annual business plan related for the department

Sales & Marketing

• Conduct daily briefing with department on current key activities
• Direct and manage all group, transient, and catering/banquet sales activities to maximize revenue for the hotel
• Survey, review and analyze competition, market trends, customer needs and comments in order to be proactive and adapt with business intelligence
• Determine the effectiveness of existing programs and develop new strategies
• Manage/direct all advertising, public relations and promotional activities in conjunction with corporate marketing and public relations departments
• Actively participates in sales presentations, property tours and customer meetings
• Evaluate changes in guest needs, the guest mix and competitive set, to recommend appropriate product/service and operational changes as necessary
• Participate in community and professional organizations to maintain high visibility and promote a positive image

Team Management

• Interview, select and recruit direct reports
• Identify and develop team members with potential
• Conduct performance review and manages performance issues that arise within the management team
• Constantly monitor team members performance, attitude and degree of professionalism

Concierge Operation

• Assist guests with all inquiries, both hotel and non-hotel related
• Attend shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known
• Maintain good relationship with Airport Concierge, retailers and other service providers within the vicinity and ensure that information on their promotions are up to date
• Maintain detailed knowledge of the activities of the day and of key occurrences in your city/location including directions to key points of interests, restaurants, theatres, shopping, cinemas, sporting and recreational facilities, banks, consulates, transport systems and special events
• Maintain adequate supplies of forms and brochures, and ensure that they are presented in line with the hotel’s operating standards
• Consult Log Book for information/requests left by outgoing shift
• Manage guests’ mails, messages, courier services and parcel postage as requested by guests
• Maintain order and security of guests’ keys and other selected keys kept in Front Office, ensuring key issue policy is followed
• Receive telephone calls and take messages for guests who are out

Other Responsibilities

• Maintain complete knowledge of all food & beverage services, outlets and hotel services/features
• Be fully conversant with hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures

• Responsible for directing and managing program and administrative operations for one or more counties.
• Carrying out permanent and ad hoc farm bill programs and policies established by USDA as well as crop insurance operations under policies established by the Risk Management Agency (RMA).

• May perform additional farm loan program assignments based on authorities delegated.
