Plans, organizes, supervises and evaluates a diversified psychology program within the institution.

Reviews all completed studies, research documents and a variety of other reports.

Maintains an ongoing awareness of organizational development, modern correctional practices and various management concepts as it relates to the psychology department.

Provides professional opinion to executive staff on troubled and disruptive inmates, such as disciplinary or segregation cases, those with histories of habituating substance abuse, those with exhibiting signs of depression, and those experiencing situational crises.

Manages the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and also provides assessment and referral to professional resources in the community for employees on an as needed basis.

Provides professional supervision to the staff in the Psychology Services department.

Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.

• You will coordinate actions with government and regulatory agencies, responsible parties, and contractors to meet the compliance requirements of environmental statutes and regulations.
• You will advise base and tenant commanders and managers on environmental compliance and pollution prevention and abatement within designated areas.
• You will assess and review performance objectives and provide feedback to personnel.
• You will justify and allocate funding for use to promote or achieve environmental compliance.

Program Management

• Applies professional knowledge of child and youth development to develop and supervise a developmentally appropriate SAC and YP.
• Implements a developmentally appropriate program that promotes the social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth of children and youth in the age categories served.
• Provides program oversight and accountability for the performance of employees and the safety of children in accordance with DOD, Department of Navy (DoN), and local policies and standards.
• Recommends modification of higher-level program goals and interprets and applies child and youth development philosophy/principles and DoN policies based on patron needs and program evaluation and assessment.
• Ensures the development, implementation and analysis of surveys and needs assessments of staff and patrons to ensure appropriate programming and hours of operation.
• Collects and maintains up-to-date statistical data for planning and reporting purposes in accordance with higher headquarters and statutory requirements.
• Maintains liaison with local institutions and community organizations to stay abreast of trends and changes in the community and to provide additional opportunities for families, children, and youth.
• Interacts professionally with employees, parents, volunteers and local installation command personnel.
• Participates actively and positively in managing and resolving issues with parents, volunteers and/or employees.

• Responsible for the supervision of employees and volunteers. The types and number of employees supervised by this position will vary based on the size of the program and actual program requirements.

• Gives input into the development of CYP standard operating procedures (SOPs) as required for the efficient operation and management of facility and programs. Ensures implementation of these SOPs.
• Works collaboratively with other CYP Directors to establish and implement a combined Parent Involvement Board (PIB)
• Gives input into the development of CYP employee and parent handbooks and ensures distribution of these handbooks.
• Ensures that available program spaces are fully utilized. Works collaboratively with the person responsible for maintaining the Central Waiting List (CWL) to ensure vacancies are filled quickly.

• Ensures compliance with, and is assessed by adherence to the standards and criteria developed by the DoN, DoD, the Military Child Care Act (MCCA), and the Council on Accreditation (COA).
• Ensures the development and provision of programs related to the core program areas outlined in the OPNAV and implements programs required by the DoN such as Boys and Girls Club of America (BGCA) or 4-H required programs.
• Implements and supports policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health, fire, safety, facility, and program regulatory guidance and standards.

This Assistant Federal Security Director - Generalist position is located at William P. Hobby Airport (HOU), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). If selected, you will be responsible for supporting the Federal Security Director (FSD) by providing day to day direction for airport security and operations at airports with multiple checkpoints and a workforce. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Providing support in the following areas: tactical planning, execution and operating management for coordinated security services.
• Participating in briefings concerning sensitive security information.
• Serving as a Principal Advisor to the Federal Security Director (FSD) on all matters concerning operational support.
• Developing, planning, coordinating and managing support operations that include customer service/stakeholder programs, training and engineering services.
• Conferring with FSD and/or appropriate staff personnel to outline work plans, to provide technical advice to resolve problems, to review status reports and to modify schedules in order to meet workload fluctuations.
• Organizing and implementing the Federal Security Crisis Management Response Plan.

• Participating with the Regional Director to maintain effective working relationships with the credit union industry, state regulators, and other stakeholders; staying abreast of trends and developments in the entire financial industry and environment.
• Supervising the activities of the regional staff.
• Participating in conferences and meetings; and acting in the absence of the Regional Director
