SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to exercise second level supervisory and managerial authorities over Air Force Junior ROTC Worldwide. Serves as Director during extended absences, deployments, and breaks between incumbent. Responsible for all aspects of the AFJROTC Program. Represents the Air Force at the service-level to DoD, works through Office of Legislative Affairs (OLA) to respond to Congress and Senators on Congressional inquiries on program issues. The Deputy Director manages a $100M budget to include the formulation; justification; and execution of budgets and works POM issues for the AFJROTC programs, or projects.
DUTIES:
- Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of Headquarters Air Force Junior ROTC Worldwide.
- Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- Represents Headquarters Air Force Junior ROTC Worldwide with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
