Responsibilities:
· Leads a team and management of existing and new business activities for both domestic and overseas markets.
· Develops and manages new business plan which includes managing marketing and networking activities.
· Reviews company business model whenever necessary, in conjunction with changing market landscape.
· Development and implementation of go-to-market strategies.
· Commercial activities and new assignments as assigned by CEO from time-to-time.
· Ensures compliance within the scope of work and/or influence.
· Oversees rolling-out of new products to meet market demands.
· Ensures timely reporting of business performance and updates.
· To mentors and coaches, the sales and marketing team so as to enhance the overall competency.
· Drives talent development and retention program for the organization.
· Manages the supplier contract negotiations in line with the company commercial objectives.
· Support the strategic sourcing and procurement of new products for profitable and sustainable growth.
Requirements:
· Bachelor Degree in Science, Chemistry, Chemical, Environmental or Engineering.
· At least 15 years of strong experience in technical sales and marketing of chemical products/solutions across at least two of the following areas.
- water treatment & power utilities and companies,
- semiconductor, wafer fab manufacturing plants,
- chemicals and petrochemicals manufacturing plants,
- food and pharmaceuticals manufacturing plants, and
- marine sectors
· A minimum 10 years of leadership role in direct management of sales team and distributors/agents is essential
· Additional experience in sourcing, procurement, product management and customer service will be highly preferred but not required.
· Requires physical fitness to make regular customer visits and access plant sites, which may involve walking or climbing stairs of moderate distance or height.
· Understanding of technical terms and concepts - especially related to chemical, chemistry, water treatment and fluid transfer.
· Proficiency in English (Writing, reading and speaking) is a mandatory.
· Proficiency in Chinese, Malay and/or other languages will be highly preferred for communication with customers from various backgrounds.
· Ability and willingness to undertake international business trips as needed to fulfil job responsibilities.
· A valid driving license and personal vehicle are essential for the role.
