DUTIES CONTINUED UNDER EDUCATION

The Chief of SPS assumes responsibility for the coordination of all aspects of the sterile processing service to include high level disinfection, sterilization, sterile storage, infection control and prevention as well as customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. Ensures that all applicable Veterans Health Administration (VHA) policies and guidelines are followed and that the American Association of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) guidelines are followed per VHA Directive 1116. The Chief of SPS is an integral part of the medical center leadership team and influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team. The incumbent is responsible for administrative functions of the SPS program which includes membership on the following committees: Infection Prevention/Control; Water Safety Committee (Biomedical Engineering); Clinical Executive Council (CEC); Veterans Integrated Services Network (VISN) 17 Advisory Board; Clinical Product Review Committee (CPRC); Reusable Medical Device (RMD) Committee, Environment of Care (EOC) Rounds; and the Enterprise Equipment Request (EER) Committee. The Chief of SPS must establish and maintain effective relationships with all levels of medical center personnel and relate effectively with customers, families, and the community as well as program and service leaders at the local and network levels. Key relationships with staff are needed to assist SPS Assistant Managers, key personnel, and Lead Medical Staff Technicians (MST) to carry out the functions and activities expected of them. • Serves as a Child and Youth Services (CYS) Assistant Director of a CYS Program with responsibility for assisting the supervisor in the operation of an assigned CYS program IAW all applicable regulations and standards.
• Provides program oversight and accountability for the performance of assigned staff and the safety and well being of children and youth IAW DoD, Army and local policies and standards.

• Must establish and maintain an accurate medical, dental and surgical tracking system, which details specific preventive maintenance performed and equipment availability for patient care use.
• Will plan, organize, direct, train and coordinate all activities associated with a comprehensive sterile processing service.
• Responsible for the collection, receipt, and decontamination of all used soiled medical supplies, surgical instruments, and medical equipment. Decontamination processing requires the specific knowledge to determine what specific mean are utilized to accomplish cleaning, disinfecting and/or pre-sterilization of complex diagnostic medical/surgical equipment, implantable devices, and medical apparatus.
• Accomplishes the inspection, assembly, packaging and terminal sterilization of all medical surgical instrumentation sets, implantable devices, and packs them for use throughout the Medical Center, Operating Room and specialty clinics. It requires knowledge of sterilization methods, operation of the sterilizers and interpretation of biological testing which is of utmost importance.
• Responsible for ensuring the distribution area performs a major role in getting the correct Reusable Medical Devices (RMD) to users and assuring that these supplies are in the correct condition, quality, and location for use.
• Utilizes appropriate inventory management techniques. Coordinates with the personnel that procure SPS' supplies, analyzes usage patterns, problem solves and coordinates inventory activities with secondary supply systems.
• Plans, develops, directs, and maintains a Quality Assurance program ensuring product quality assurance through random sampling, biological testing, and product assessment. Assures the patient's needs are the driving force, places the emphasis on process management and undertaking improvement efforts.
• This position may require travel away from the duty station up to 50% to assist with oversight and management of all sites where sterile processing services are provided within the VA Black Hills Health Care System (VA BHHCS) for support during periods of required coverage.

As the Director of Digital Portfolio Management, you will be responsible for enhancing and managing a centralized repository of pan-HP Digital Portfolio, including associated programs, projects, spend, tools and resources, aligned with our target-state Enterprise Digital Architecture.

Summary of Role:

The Director of Procurement and Supply Chain Finance will partner with Supply Chain Management to extract hidden competitive advantages in the company’s sourcing, procurement, logistics and distribution chain. This job will create structural transparency and accountability using KPIs. This role will represent the finance agenda in a variety of projects from transformational to tactical that are aimed at improving the financial outcomes of our worldwide operation. These can include maximizing revenue, minimizing cost, reducing inventory, reducing supplier pricing, etc. This position will be one of the leaders tasked with increasing the analytical capability and data driven decision making in procurement and supply chain.

A qualified candidate will be comfortable as a change catalyst.  Candidate needs to have experience in developing multi-year business plans. 

Essential Responsibilities:

• Create and implement a clear strategic vision of how Finance can enable supply chain to optimize the business and organization. Build an organization of analysts to partner with the Operation to achieve financial commitments.

• Provide strategic business leadership with Executive Supply Chain Management on initiatives and sequencing to create a company competitive advantage in sourcing, production, logistics, distribution, and procurement cost and sourcing

• Be one of the organizations strongest change catalysts and set that pace within your team of analysts

• Develop multi-year cost and capacity target and glide paths in line with revenue and profitability targets through production and sourcing strategies

• Develop cash targets, inventory goals and BOM targets that tie back to P&L model financial goas.

• Lead the annual budgeting and strategic planning processes and the monthly forecasting process for the consolidated Supply Chain.

• Create predictable, sustainable and repeating finance processes. Drive continuous improvement in current processes

• Coordinate the development of annual Supply Chain cost savings initiatives to achieve goals including the monitors and reports the demonstrate monthly progress

• Ensure data driven financial analysis and diligence are part of every important decision made

• Ensure compliance with all corporate accounting, GAAP, IFRS and SOX

• Stay familiar with external, emerging supply chain and bring internally

• Partner and be a peer-to-peer leader with other internal stakeholders groups at GFS

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
   

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of finance experience with prior procurement, sourcing or supply chain experience
• Bachelors Degree in Finance or related field
• Experience developing multi-year business plans
• Demonstrated experience driving data driven and analytic decision making
• Bias for action and results orientation
• Learning and innovative mindset
• Ability to challenge, influence/convince and manage Executives and Non-Executives.
• Ownership mind-set
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to simplify messages and communicate insights from analysis, leverage findings, and proactively make recommendations.
• Global and domestic travel is an option but not a requirement.

• Master's or MBA

Position Description:

The Director, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Operations role provides expert leadership and guidance to those that manage and/or lead in operations and facilities (cross platform and function). The purpose of this position is to ensure alignment and direction for the Regional HSE Managers to the Divisions and to monitor systems implementation consistency from a high level. This role is also responsible for the development of the HSE Regional Managers to ensure they are able to serve the business.

This position is located in the United States and reports directly to Director, HSE.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion culture change – lead with purpose, core values, and behaviors to promote and fully embed an Enterprise Safety Mindset within all employees across Flowserve

• Support consistent execution of the HSE strategy including programs, plans, policies, and procedures to go beyond governmental compliance requirements to adopt best practices that protect our employees, customers, communities, and physical assets

• Support the continuous improvement of methodology for monitoring, measuring, and achieving HSE objectives to prevent accidents, injuries, and pollution through ongoing improvement programs to operationalize best in class HSE principles

• Promote and implement consistent Safety Accountability actions and mindset across the business

• Lead standardization efforts to ensure all facilities within the enterprise operate under the same policies and procedures and are measured by the same performance metrics

• Provide guidance, coaching, mentoring, development, and leadership for direct and matrix HSE team globally

• Together with the HSE team, build relationships and lead with expert consultation, collaboration, and guidance on safety, health, industrial hygiene, environmental, and fire prevention

• Manage and support the development and consistent implementation of HSE training in our global facilities

Position Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience leading a team

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, HSE, Business, or a related field

• Manufacturing, Engineering, Consumer Products or related business experience

Preferences:

• Geographically mobile for development opportunities

• Prior HSE experience in both field locations and corporate environments

• Ability to influence, communicate, and collaborate at all organizational levels

• Expertise with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
