Position: Technology Director
Location: Remote but will require occasional travel to Birmingham and/or London
Salary: £100,000 - £110,000

About the Role:
A leading charity is seeking a dynamic and visionary Technology Director to spearhead their digital transformation efforts. As the Technology Director, you will lead a team of approximately 35 professionals and manage an annual IT budget of £8 million. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to define, transform, and optimise the organisation's technology landscape, ensuring it delivers maximum value and efficiency for the charity and its beneficiaries.

Key Responsibilities as Technology Director:
- Develop and implement an agile technology strategy aligned with organisational objectives.
- Lead both operational and strategic planning for the IT department, focusing on innovation, resource allocation, and project planning.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to craft a digital strategy that supports the charity's mission and goals.
- Integrate data and technology services across the organisation to support strategic initiatives.
- Provide expert advice to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on all technology-related matters.
- Foster strong relationships with senior managers to understand and meet their technology needs.
- Oversee the development of technology solutions that enhance contract performance while ensuring compliance with security and data protection standards.
- Drive the timely delivery of a technology portfolio that aligns with the organisation's business strategies.
- Develop and manage relationships with third-party providers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Manage the technology budget, ensuring financial efficiency and effectiveness.
Skills & Experience requirements
- Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Extensive knowledge of ICT disciplines, strategy, and architecture.
- Proven track record in leading technology transformations within complex organisations.
- Experience in integrating ICT functions across geographically diverse environments.
- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Strategic thinker with excellent project management skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

- This position requires a Disclosure and Barring Service Check at a Basic level.
