PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Director, Financial Analysis is responsible for providing timely and accurate analytical support through subordinates in the creation and maintenance of financial models for diverse business development initiatives.  The incumbent reviews and approves recommendations for financial planning and control and provides relevant fiscal information to management.  The Director, Financial Analysis provides the overall direction of the execution of functions, ensuring best practices while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), and other regulatory requirements.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This position will be the global clinical lead for a medicine with one or more indications within the Oncology Research and Development organization and will provide strategic and technical guidance at an asset and/or indication level, as well as coordination and support to Oncology Clinical Leads, Medical Monitors and non-MD clinicians.

Prior Experience:

• Demonstrated accomplishments or formal training in Oncology
• 10+ years of clinical development experience in the health sciences, preferably GU oncology stretching academic and industry career.
• 2+ years pharmaceutical industry experience (minimum depending on academic experience prior to industry)

Position Summary: 
This Director level role will lead process optimization and change management efforts across Customer Onboarding.  The individual will partner with the Vice President of Customer Onboarding, and the Executive Director leadership team to identify and execute optimization efforts, including process, organizational design and technology initiatives.  They will work with Operations leaders to establish best-in-class processes and innovate the overall Onboarding experience for athena customers.  The Director of Process Optimization will build and lead a team of process optimization experts that can partner across Customer Onboarding to mine opportunities and drive improvements proactively. This role will work with process owners, subject matter experts and leadership to continuously improve quality standards and productivity by utilizing process improvement methodologies (i.e. Lean and Six Sigma) to measure, improve and ensure the robustness and scalability of processes.

Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): 

60% Process Optimization and Change Management Execution

• Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by partnering with stakeholders to establish best-in-class policies and processes, identify opportunities to enhance the end-to-end customer onboarding value steam and improve the customer experience

• Provide leadership of cross-organizational transformation efforts

• Build project management capability to run programs within Customer Onboarding as well as in partnership with other Operations functions

Audition Scheduling & Operation Logistics:

• Ensures the successful implementation of the Audition and Interview (A&I) program.

• Coordinates and oversees operations and personnel for on campus, on the road, and online A&I events.

• Creates and hosts online audition events using the Zoom Video Communications platform and collaborates with necessary Enrollment and Marketing team members.

• Serves as a primary technical resource in the department for online auditions and interviews.

• Assists with the scholarship auditions for special programs including various Berklee On The Road Events including scheduling and applicant outreach pre- and post- event.

• Develops training materials and conducts auditions and interview training for staff, temporary hires, and student employees.

Maintain familiarity with application, scholarship, financial aid, housing and Board of Admission processes, including technology resources, processing policies and correspondence procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead, coach, mentor safety culture for Brunswick Integrated Manufacturing Center in Sykes Creek, Edgewater, and Flagler facilities.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

BMCHS and other healthcare partners are building a team that aims to reduce disparities in health outcomes contributing most to premature mortality and health inequities across our primary care population and members of the communities served by BMC and other healthcare partners. The Operations Director will work in partnership with the leadership of Population Health, the Health Equity Accelerator, and other key clinical and operational stakeholders across BMC and other healthcare partners to design and implement a community based program to reduce disparities. The vision of this team is to create a community-based model that provides enhanced supports to patients with diabetes and/or hypertension. The program will staff a team of clinical specialists in pharmacy, nutrition, social work, and nursing as well as community health workers, population health and outreach specialists that will care for patients in the community based program. In addition, the team will lead necessary data architecture work to implement innovations such as a patient registry tool and be responsible for research evaluation.

• Lead the design of the Community Health Equity team in partnership with a multidisciplinary group of leaders from Population Health, the Health Equity Accelerator, and other key clinical and operational stakeholders across BMC and its partners to design community health equity programs, identify performance opportunities, set measurable targets, and develop central and local support processes to drive equity improvement. Design activities will include workflows, staffing, and governance structure.
• Partner with Human Resources to source, interview, and select staff for the Community Health Equity team.
• Prepare, justify and present strategic plans, business cases and budgets; while measuring and reporting the impact of different strategies and programs.
• Work requires the analytical ability necessary to analyze operations, develop systems and programs to coordinate the efficient flow of patient visits, treatments and appointments, develop short- and long-term strategic to meet objectives, develop operating and capital budgets, evaluate productivity, and develop business plans.
• Partner with data analysts and clinical IT to design a workflow to provide access to enrollees patient information with relevant staff members (e.g. CHW, RN, Pharmacists, RDs) and close the loop with communication back to primary care providers. 
• Work requires advanced interpersonal skills and political savvy necessary to work effectively with multi-disciplinary work groups (e.g., physician practice groups, hospital administrators and managers, nurse management staff, fiscal staff and professional staff), act as a liaison to medical staff, negotiate contracts and purchasing agreements, effect changes in operations, policies, procedures and systems and provide guidance and direction to assigned managers. Advanced interpersonal skills are also required to work effectively in a matrix style organization where reporting areas often have complex relationships with the hospital and division (e.g., Physician Practice Groups, Contracted Services, and Nurse Management Structures).
• Supervise the operational work of the team, act as liaison with all the relevant departments and community organizations and continue to refine the design of the program as it grows. Develop and monitor a set of KPIs to track reach and outcome of the team’s work.
• Support Partnerships Manager in creating bi-directional processes for exchanging patient information with community organizations. 
• Partner effectively with community programs and service organizations in the design, implementation, and sustainability of the program.
• Approve and implement administrative policies and procedures. Recommend and implement changes in policies and procedures to improve the cost effectiveness of operations and ensure that patient's time (i.e., for visits, appointments and treatments) is used in an efficient manner.
• Partner with the Medical Director of Community Health Equity and other clinical leaders to co-develop clinical workflows. Manage and revise clinical workflows with the evolution of clinical practice, compliance, and regulation.
• The Operations Director may also participate in the planning and management of additional innovations to further equitable delivery of care. In addition to the direct management of a central team, the director will also be responsible (with clinical leadership) for support of system-wide initiatives to reduce disparities. For example, harmonizing outreach protocols, developing linguistically/culturally appropriate screening tools, etc.
• Once the team is operational, the Operations Director will continue to work as the administrative leader for the community health equity team to ensure clinical and operational outcomes are met in a productive and cost effective manner. The director will work with stakeholders to provide for the identification, analysis and development of operating policies, systems, programs and standards.
• Maintains clinic policy and procedure manual. Adheres to performance standards as outlined by the Joint Commission.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Population Health is a key leadership position in the Population Health Services Division at Boston Medical Center Health System (BMCHS).  The Population Health Services Division serves as the central hub for programs that drive performance in the Medicaid ACO.  As a Senior Leader in the Population Health Services Division, the Director of Population Health will define strategic priorities across key performance drivers and oversee implementation and performance management at ACO partners. 

As part of the new MassHealth initiative to transform healthcare via formation of Medicaid ACOs, Boston Medical Center Health System has partnered with providers across the state to share risk in caring for Medicaid populations.  In order to succeed in the Medicaid ACO, BMCHS is rapidly designing and implementing a number of programs that improve quality of care for Medicaid populations, reduce health inequities, as well as manage utilization and total cost of care. 

The Director of Population Health will support performance for the Medicaid ACO program broadly, and will specifically oversee the ACO Health Equity Program for all of BMCHS’s ACO Partners in coordination with BMCHS’s Health Equity Accelerator and the Population Health quality team. As part of the new 1115 Medicaid waiver launched in 2023, MassHealth created a new health equity-focused incentive program to encourage both ACOs and hospitals to advance health equity through initiatives such as demographic data collection, implementing quality interventions specifically designed to address health disparities, health-related social needs screening, expanding access to language services, improving care for patients with disabilities, and providing health equity-focused staff training. Working closely with the Population Health Senior Director of Quality and the Executive Director of Medicaid ACOs, the Director of Population Health will lead the development of strategies to implement health equity initiatives across BMCHS’s ACO Partners and lead all health-equity related support for ACO Partners.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

Specific program oversight may include, but is not limited to:

• Health Equity: The Director will lead all aspects of BMCHS’s Health Equity support for ACO Partners including supporting their efforts to maximize incentive earnings, meet all MassHealth requirements for ACO providers related to health equity, and implement high-impact initiatives designed to advance health equity.
• Account Management:  The Director will be the primary BMCHS point person for managing performance at a set of ACO Partners.  The Director will develop close partnerships with local group leaders, and collaborate closely on the initiatives listed above.  In order to be an effective partner to ACO Partners, the Director will be expected to spend time on-site with designated groups.
• Complex care management operations:  BMCHS will deploy Complex Care Management teams across ACO provider sites.  Teams will be comprised of Nurses, Pharmacists, and Community Wellness Advocates, and they will manage the top 2-3% of high risk patients at each site.  The Director will partner with BMCHS clinical leaders and local site clinical leaders to manage the Complex Care Management program, which may include:  ensuring smooth integration with local site care management programs, analyzing cost and outcomes data to identify opportunities for program improvement, connecting with local community partners, and ensuring optimal program operations.
• Quality improvement:  The MassHealth ACO program includes a full set of quality metrics.  The set of quality metrics encompasses a broad range of focus areas including adult primary care, pediatrics, behavioral health, and other outcomes-based measures.  In partnership with Quality leaders at BMCHS and ACO partners, the Director will help define and execute a Quality program performance strategy.
• Accurate Risk Adjustment:  Performance targets in the MassHealth ACO program are in part determined by the assigned risk level of the attributed population.  The Director will be responsible for defining a network-wide framework for accurate risk coding

Specific duties and requirements:

• Health Equity:
  • Develop strategies to maximize Health Equity incentive earnings across BMCHS ACO Partners including through BMCHS efforts (incl. WellSense Health Plan) or local provider efforts
  • Work with ACO partners and their local management teams to develop and implement strategies, initiatives, and approaches to advance health equity within their health systems
  • Support ACO Partners in collecting and analyzing demographic data to identify disparities and opportunities to improve care
  • Monitor performance on health equity-related metrics (e.g., receipt of interpreter services, RELDSOGI data completeness, quality metrics by sub-populations) and take action to improve performance in line with goals.
  • Partner with other BMCHS leaders to engage MassHealth leadership and staff on the structure and substance of the Health Equity program
  • Coordinate with relevant subject matter experts at BMCHS including the Health Equity Accelerator and Population Health Analytics
  • Facilitate the collection and sharing of best practices around health equity topics across ACO Partners to advance shared learning and performance improvement
  • Represent BMCHS at external forums related to health equity and/or population health
  • Ensure ACOs meet all health equity contract requirements
  • Serve as an advisor to other members of the Population Health team to embed a health equity lens in their work
• Data and Analytics:  Partner with Clinical and Financial Analytics teams to define opportunities to optimize ACO program performance; robust data analytics skills required
• Translation of data into program actions:  Ensure ACO programs are data-driven; translate data-driven insights into clear priorities and interventions.
• Program Operations:  Optimize operations and management of on-the-ground programs. 
• Local site engagement and communication:  Ensure local site leadership is appropriately linked with BMCHS leaders and programs; build rapport, trust, and effective working relationships with their local sites.
• Program design:  Partners with Clinical leaders to constantly evolve and innovate on ACO program models; review data, test interventions, and define an improvement plan to ensure ACO programs are able to adapt and adjust as the ACO program evolves.
• ACO program management:  Develops program performance standards in conjunction with the BMCHS and local site management teams. Monitors program performance regularly against those standards and prepares and implements steps to bring the local program into conformance with those standards.
• Supervising Direct Reports: depending on business need, hire, develop, and/or manage selected staff focused on Health Equity, ACO Partnership Operations, or other Population Health functions.

In collaboration with Associate Chief Pharmacy Officer (ACPO), translates hospital goals into departmental strategic and operating goals and objectives on an annual basis. Defines, develops and implements short and long term strategies and plans to meet organizational objectives within specified target date. Uses evidence-based processes to ensure the highest level of quality, safety and service.  On an annual basis develops cost savings plans with leadership to minimize expenses and maintains best practices in supply chain management while ensuring maximal quality and safety of drug therapy.

Prioritize the improvement of pharmacy operations; the Director should focus on:

• Employee development and engagement
• Establishment of key performance indicators, maintain and/or exceed set target of drivers of success for the department
• Labor productivity through staffing and automation in collaboration with Director of Clinical Services
• Reducing costs (through inventory control, efficient fill strategies, effective staffing matrices, etc.)
• Improving quality (reduction of error rates through CQI programs, effective operational management and education)
• Reducing turnaround times (by introducing efficiencies, providing tools to managers to drive performance, and effectively managing day to day activities)
• Ensuring high level customer service and high level patient, nursing, and provider satisfaction
• Maintaining a high level of competency and leadership in general operations, including knowledge and operation of technologies, workflows, and drug distribution processes
• Managing projects including the creation of ideas, identification of key stakeholders, development and execution of the project, timely completion, and presentation to large groups and/or Vice President, Officer and Board-level stakeholders at the organization
• Directs operations to meet budget and other financial goals.
• Cultivates excellent work relationships with Hospital staff and colleagues.  Develops and maintains partnerships across other departments in the organization by early engagement of stakeholders in problem solving, negotiating and influencing buy-in from others prior to implementation, self-identifying and volunteering for interdepartmental projects, interdisciplinary teams, and generally representing the department outside of the department.
• Maintains, develops, establishes, and directs execution of operating policies to support overall department and organizational policies and objectives.

The Director of Inpatient Pharmacy Operations is responsible for the following duties and activities:

• RFI, assessment, and recommendation of pharmacy technology and automation
• Oversee Operations teams to ensure on-board training and assessment of team competencies; proper use, training, management and efficacy related to automation devices and departmental workflows.
• Operationalize drug shortage mitigation strategies and ensure timely communication is provided to all pharmacy staff
• Adherence to USP 797, 795, and 800 standards
• Oversee compliance with drug purchasing, invoice approval, and inventory management
• Controlled substance compliance, auditing and investigations
• New project planning & project management
• Investigate and respond appropriately to all complaints and take effective corrective action when necessary
• Participate in the following: Mandatory training requirements as per hospital policy; Continuing education/in-services to enhance knowledge and leadership skills; Staff meetings; Performance improvement initiatives; Orientation of new staff, students and/or volunteers; Share on-call responsibilities with other pharmacy leadership staff; Utilize hospital's values as the basis for decision making; Follow established hospital infection control and safety procedures.

Within the scope of the department and organization and relevant to professional standards, other duties and responsibilities as requested by senior leadership.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

• Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy (PharmD is preferred).
• Other advanced degree (e.g. M.S., MBA, MHA, etc.) preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

• Current licensure to practice as a pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

EXPERIENCE:

• Work requires at least 5 years of progressively advanced hospital pharmacy management experience. (Residency experience may be included in years of experience at a ratio of 1:1).
• Prior management experience required.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Proven ability to translate a strategic plan into operational policy.
• Leadership ability to guide, direct, and mentor a multi-layered staff; ability to lead change, manage people, engage across departments and across the organization.
• Demonstrated track record of management of personnel and fiscal resources

• Capable of long range program planning that involves complex decision making tasks.

As a Global HR Director at Allegro Microsystems, reporting to the Senior Vice President/CHRO, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive human resources strategies, tools, services, and support to a global population of ~450 employees across ~12 countries, ensuring alignment with our corporate goals and values. Your leadership will be pivotal in driving talent excellence, enhancing organizational performance, and promoting a vibrant workplace culture and work environment that enables Allegro to achieve the business goals and objectives to drive continuous growth across Allegro.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Consult to assigned clients, with local Regional and Corporate HQ Functional support, to develop and implement HR strategies and organizational design structures that support Allegro’s growth goals and objectives.

• Provide executive leadership coaching and advice on all HR-related matters. Develop a trusted relationship to assist leaders in driving overall organizational success.

• Lead organization through talent management/succession planning reviews to build and nurture the bench, provide creative organization designs structure guidance to enable global organizational effectiveness, and advise on all change management activities.

• Work with leaders to deliver effective communications, global collaboration, and alignment around company goals.

• Partner with clients and Finance partners to establish annual workforce plans aligned to annual financial plans.  Partner closely with Talent acquisition teams to translate workforce plans to open requisitions; ensure plans are fully executed. On-going management of hiring needs/affordability across all businesses.

• Lead clients through annual compensation programs (merit, bonuses, and equity). Oversee utilization of recognition programs within assigned groups.

• Drive Corporate annual performance management process. Provide coaching and guidance on career development to ensure we are investing in the growth of our internal talent.

• Identify training needs and work with the Corporate L&D team for support and solutions. Provide support/input and consultation on any corporate initiatives.

• Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues; enlist local regional support and Legal Counsel when necessary.

• Lead all cultural/core value related activities across the assigned population. Support all employee engagement activities to increase employee satisfaction and overall retention of talent.

• Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives, ensuring our workforce reflects the communities we serve.

• Provide direction, coaching, and support to 2 current HR team members, and other support staff. Partner closely with all Corporate HR functional team members.

• Use HR metrics through Workday/People Analytics to make informed decisions, track performance, identify areas of improvement.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s/MBA preferred.

• Minimum of 15 years of HR experience with at least 7 years in a managerial role working across multiple HR functional disciplines with multinational companies.

• Prior experience supporting Sales and Marketing organizations strongly preferred, support to G&A teams highly desired.

• Prior experience with Sales Incentive Plans strongly desired.

• Demonstrated experience in organizational design and talent management.

• Global HR experience working across North America, Europe, and Asia.

• M&A integration experience desired.

• Strong understanding of US labor laws and regulations; some familiarity with global labor laws a plus.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and influencing skills.

• Ability to deliver high customer satisfaction and provide timely support across multiple geographies.

• Ability to think strategically, work independently, and be self-motivated to execute and drive results.

• Proficient with HRIS systems and HR analytics tools. Workday HCMS platform experience is preferred.

• Ability and willingness to travel internationally to stay connected with the local teams. Approximately 10%-15%

• Required to work at an Allegro office a minimum of 3 days per week.
