Senior Software Strategy Program Manager
Description -
The Commercial Software team is in search of a driven individual who can drive Software Strategy and curate differentiated user experiences for our software portfolio. The candidate will be an expert on emerging technologies and will help drive strategies and partnerships with internal stakeholders and external ISVs. The candidate will have unique mastery and will be a recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge including technologies, theories and techniques. They will have the opportunity to own and strengthen relationships, work as a thought leader, create long term strategies linking business, technology and industry needs and orchestrate teams of technical experts to provide the right solutions for our customers.
The right candidate contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas, provides highly innovative ideas and solutions, provides mentoring and guidance to other employees. They will routinely exercise independent judgment in developing strategies, techniques and criteria for achieving business objectives and drive positive results. They will serve as the bridge between cross-functional teams including marketing, Design, and R&D. They are responsible for defining the overall approach and architecture and are accountable for defining the overall experience for the product.
Responsibilities
• Plays a critical role in the planning and execution of the organization's most complex and visible technical projects or programs in support of the continuing evolution of the organization's software products.
• Partners across functions to prioritize, plan, track and execute complex, cross organizational programs while maintaining focus on building high quality programs.
• Defines the overall vision, strategy, and roadmap to address the problems/opportunities in collaboration with product managers and engineers.
• Reaches across functions or departments to mitigate program risks and resolves issues that affect release, scope, schedule, and quality.
• Drives and tracks software releases, features and bug fixes, testing, and documentation.
• Engages with executive leadership and other stakeholders to provide updates, gather requirements, and manage expectations.
• Allocates resources, including personnel and budgets, to ensure project teams have the necessary support to achieve objectives.
• Ensures that project deliverables meet established quality standards and are aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of concepts and principles within own job family and knowledge of other related job families.
• Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• 10+ years of work experience, preferably in program/project management, scrum master, professional technology organization, or a related field.
