Specific Accountabilities
• Counterpart and deputy to Apple Head of Finished Goods, Asia Pacific
• Accountable for DB Schenker’s Finished Goods and Apple returns logistics regional operations across APAC.
• Drive DB Schenker’s key contract logistics and corporate key initiatives including culture programs.
• Work closely with the customer to drive key initiatives and scale planning for the operations in the APAC region for the Finished Goods
business.
• To oversee operational excellence within the finished good business through the establishment and maintenance of DB Schenker
Operations Standards and Operations Excellence program (XSite). To identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives,
governing direct reports for reporting progress at monthly Operations performance reviews with the client.
• Responsible to monitor productivity/scale within operations and facilities, and work with local countries on optimizing processes and
scalability to continuously support customer volume growth.
• Responsible for Regional alignment of processes across countries, and overall compilation and maintenance of SOPs.
• Governance over the monitoring and regional reporting of operation’s productivity and work with local country/operations management teams to drive process optimization / productivity improvement / quality improvement / cost reduction.
• Establish various approved initiatives (people, process, system/data, layout) to deliver sustainable customer volume growth against the
existing resource baselines.
• Conduct regular internal / external Continuous Improvement workshops (opportunity identification and delivery approach)
• Capture, analyze and report CIP achievement against budgets, stretch targets, initiative/project benefits.
• Overall driver for regional operations planning and special events control and reporting.
• Responsible to conduct audits in the country operations to ensure process and documentation compliance, and quality.
• Supporting and governance for complete compliance for customer supplier responsibility (SR) requirements across the region
• Work very closely with the IT Account Management team country to implement capabilities to improve reporting capabilities as well as
potential EDI improvements with client’s systems.
• Support implementation for new business projects, SMRO FG is responsible to work with project management team to align on
implementation schedules, driving operations process mapping.
• Manage outstanding damage claims from clients.
• Working with the countries to provide the best solution and Tracking of CAR (Corrective Actions Report).
• Responsible for monitoring P&L across the regional FG business and identifying critical areas for improvement to increase profitability
across Finished Goods and RMA sites.
Skills Required
• Finished Goods operations knowledge:
- Returns Logistics and domestic transportation operations knowledge in hi-tech industry.
- Have setup, or managed big scale warehouse operations before.
- Able to understand B2B IT systems and WMS in order to discuss/ translate Business requirements to IT counterparts.
• Process mapping and critical thinking/problem solving skills to identify bottlenecks and improve productivity.
• Certification/knowledge of Quality systems such as ISO or 6-sigma.
• Interested in technology trends and able to relate usage to enhance operations.
• Work well under pressure, and able to manage internal and customer demands effectively.
• Analytical and logical approach.
• Good and positive attitude.
• Team player and collaborative approach.
• Flexible to travel for business trips.
• Computer literate with good working knowledge of business tools.
• Min 8 years of Logistics experience majoring in Logistics operations, preferably with returns/spares logistics and/or domestic
distribution.
