ESTATE MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION

• • Reporting to Senior Manager.
  • Responsible for overseeing all field operational activities for oil palm and fertigation related horticultural projects.
  • Additionally, you will collaborate with the appropriate supervisors and foremen to make sure that the estate operates as efficiently as possible from planting through harvesting.
  • To monitor day-to-day plantation operations and to identify problem areas and take corrective actions, ensuring operating expenses and profitability are maximized and annual target plantings/harvests are met.
  • To ensure appropriate monitoring systems are put in place for all plantation tending tasks, such as general tractor work, spraying, weeding, trimming, harvesting, and slashing, as well as protection against fire and disease.
  • To liaise with the plantation management team on management of fertigation scheduling and other irrigation duties, regular plantation pest and disease inspections, leaf and soil tests for plant nutrition and appropriate maintenance of plantation plant and equipment.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crisis and devise contingency plans.
  • To implement strategies, review and set triggers to ensure KPIs and objectives are met in respective divisions.

Serves as a Operations Manager (OM) in a Large TRACON, responsible for planning and directing operations. The incumbent may be requested to provide direct support to the Air Traffic Manager. In the terminal option, the OM provides first-line supervision to assigned Operation Supervisors (OS) and Traffic Management Coordinators (TMC), if applicable. The OM provides second-line supervision to Air Traffic Control Specialists (ATCS). The OM is responsible for operational services of the facility including traffic management initiatives. Integrates support resources with operational needs to maintain effective ATC service, and may work other than administrative shifts to meet this requirement. As a Base Services Manager, GS-0301-11, you will evaluate, plan, organize, and direct Base Services functions in support of federal, state, and local missions.
