Band 7 Senior Sister/Charge Nurse - Full time 37.5 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Senior Sister/Charge nurse to manage our friendly and supportive team on Surgical assessment Unit (SAU)- surgical front door.
For this role you will need to demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills. As the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse you must display a positive and professional manner and be open to change, being flexible and confident with the ability to manage a varied workload, as well as supervise, support and develop others in our established team.
1. Act as a clinical expert in their area of practice.
2. Take charge or delegate to the ward team as necessary.
3. Participate in the delivery of care to ensure the individual needs of the patients are met.
4. Promote the development, implementation and review of standards policies, procedures and clinical
guidelines.
5. Assist in effectively leading and motivating staff in the provision of care and future service development.
6. Promote evidence based clinical practice in performance improvement within the unit.
7. Act as a resource in nursing practice throughout the specialities.
8. Development and implementation of multi-disciplinary integrated care pathways for patients.
9. Promote and deliver effective leadership within the clinical area.
10. Demonstrate up to date knowledge and understanding of current issues and priorities that effect
National, Trust and Directorate wide healthcare, to facilitate clear leadership and direction.
