The Client:
Our client is a reputable accountancy firm, providing a complete spectrum of business and advisory services to its clientele.
The Role:
As a Payroll Senior, you will manage a portfolio of payroll clients from start to finish, including various workplace pension schemes.
Responsibilities:
- Handling advanced payroll tasks, such as setting up pension schemes, closing PAYE schemes, and conducting payroll analysis.
- Processing BACs payments for clients.
- Communicating with HM Revenue & Customs.
- Liaising with managers, team members, and clients for payroll inquiries and reporting.
- Addressing employee queries and maintaining client relationships.
- Maintaining department files, records, and databases.
- Handling ad hoc queries and tasks on spreadsheets / documents for analysis.
- Assisting managers and team members with organisational tasks.
- Providing training for payroll administrators as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a similar role.
- Background working in a payroll bureau environment.
- Experience using Sage 50 payroll.
- Math and English GCSE A-C or equivalent.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- CIPP qualifications would be beneficial.
