This is a Band 6 Senior Plastic Surgery Nursing position for a Registered Nurse with plastic surgery nursing and wound management experience or a training post or a less experience nurse.
· Provide day-to-day management of the nurse led plastic dressing clinics, consultant led outpatient clinics and the management of junior staff rotated into those areas.
• Support and deputise for the Plastic Surgery CNS and the Lead Clinical Nurse in Plastic Surgery to ensure the provision of excellent nursing care and the effective management of staff and other resources.
• Review patients undergoing plastic surgery intervention on wards and provide remote support to patients and nursing services in other care settings.
• Contribute to education and training opportunities for all staff managing patients undergoing plastic surgery.
To assess, plan, implement and evaluated care for patients with complex wound problems and people requiring plastic reconstructive surgery.
This includes working in a clinic environment and visiting ward based patients.
