Position Overview

Autodesk has an exciting opportunity within our Named Accounts Technical Sales Organization, focused on Autodesk solutions for Manufacturing, Engineering and Plant industry. This ia remote position reporting directly to the Technical Solution Manager.

We have an opening for a Senior Solutions Engineer that is a team player who will help our Named Account customers scope and define solutions for their Integrated Factory Modeling (IFM) / Digital Factory systems to connect all disciplines across the lifecycle of plants or factories. Your mission will be to work directly with customers to understand their technical requirements and define a technical solution based on Autodesk products and technology, collaborating with Account managers, Technical Solution Executives, the Customer Success team, and Consulting to help our customers guide Digital Transformation across their organizations.

Responsibilities

• You will work with our Named Account customers and internal team members to develop Digital Factory sales projects in Manufacturing, Engineering, and Plant industries

• Be responsible for technical discoveries, solution scoping and planning, proof of concepts, demonstrations, and technical sales closing in the pre-sales phases

• Explain and demonstrate the proposed solution from the technical challenges to be solved and its benefits, with a technical perspective, to customers at multiple levels in an organization

• You will maintain a comprehensive knowledge of business processes, technology trends, and workflows within the area of expertise, and provide the insights and guidance to position the value of Autodesk's new and existing solutions and build relationships as a "Trusted Advisor"

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working in Manufacturing, Engineering or Plant industry

• OR 5+ years of experience in pre-sales of software or systems for design, construction, and operation of manufacturing/ production lines, plants, and factories

• Understand the technology drivers in Manufacturing, Engineering and Plant industries and have the insights of future trends in the above industries

• Knowledge and experience with Autodesk Factory Design Solutions (AutoCAD, Inventor, Factory Design, Navisworks)

• Travel up to 50% may be required

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Autodesk Factory Design portfolio and workflows

• Experience with Discrete Event Simulation software

• Hands-on experience with design, implementation, and operation of Digital Factory systems in Manufacturing, Engineering, and Plant industries, as well as hands-on pre-sales experience with these systems

• Experience in BIM (Building Information Modeling) or CDE (Common Data Environment)

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, plant or related industry. Master's degree holders are also welcome

• Proficient in customer requirements gathering and conducting discovery sessions

The Sr. Operations Specialist works independently and autonomously to identify, lead, drive and manage work that supports the strategies, initiatives, and goals of the organization. Responsible for the development, implementation and support of programs and projects that ensure operational efficiency, enhanced safety, increased productivity, reduced cost, and continuous improvement. Manages the day-to-day operational needs as well as the strategic goals of the business. Global Business Development Team @ Autodesk

The Global Business Development team is a dynamic and strategic team within the Autodesk worldwide sales organization, focused on fueling growth with our largest, enterprise customers and scaling growth within the ecosystems of our customers. This team is driving demand for Autodesk solutions in the marketplace through actionable industry thought leadership and strategic development programs that make our technology a unique fit for industry challenges.

Position Overview

The Senior Business Development Executive (BDE) is a strategic role in the sales organization that directly works with large manufacturing customers and their ecosystem consisting of manufacturing owners, engineering service and equipment / subsystem providers, subcontractors, trade associations and their supply chain.

The work of a BDE falls into two broad categories, "fueling growth" with our largest named accounts through industry expertise and "scaling growth" through business programs across industry sectors. You will influence the decision makers at our largest clients and with the owners of projects and puts Autodesk in the middle of our customers' supply chains, positively affecting named accounts, mid-market, and territory clients.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Global Business Development D&M & Automotive.

The location is remote anywhere in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Develop new growth opportunities and markets for Autodesk for the focus sub-industries

• Influence customers' business initiatives and decision-makers through industry expertise

• Develop relationships with executive-level / senior-level customers and other target personas

• Translate customer business initiatives, challenges, and opportunities into unique value for Autodesk

• Perform as the trusted advisor on "Digital Transformation" of industry processes and represent Autodesk, Autodesk technology, and Autodesk interests with customers, industry associations, Autodesk events, and conferences

• Develop ecosystem strategic programs to influence the customers of our customers, their supply chains and the wider ecosystem

• Assist Autodesk customer teams in achieving growth and revenue targets with our customers, work with sales and technical sales teams, Autodesk Consulting and customer success managers on identifying and qualifying opportunities

• Responsibility for developing repeatable plays and insights to the Named Account and Territory sales teams

• Partner with Autodesk Industry Strategy, Product teams and Government Affairs teams and provides valuable information for mid and long-term strategy

• Engage with our most strategic and influential customers to build relationships, credibility and influence senior customer decision makers, usually within the C-Suite

• Collaborate with Autodesk teams, customers, their supply chain and other ecosystem players to grow Autodesk footprint

• Lead Global Business Development's Programs within the manufacturing sub-industry ecosystem of focus

• Represent Autodesk in industry and trade associations and events and be the voice of customer and industry internally at Autodesk

Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience working in a high growth manufacturing sub-industry (ex: semiconductor) in capital projects and sales or business development experience

• Excellent understanding of the manufacturing facility lifecycle from design to operations and that of technology trends in the Manufactring & AECO industry

• Knowledge of typical customer pain points associated with the industry associated technology solutions

• Experienced with and able to present digital transformation and platform use cases

• Experienced in establishing relationship with prospects at multiple levels of a client organization, including C level

Summary: The Senior Plant Accountant assists the Accounting Manager to ensure the Plant has appropriate processes in place to control costs and provide good, sound financial controls. This position will be a dual plant support role, supporting Michigan City, IN and Minneapolis, MN with a travel of 10-25% expected.

Essential Duties:

• Participate in safety and housekeeping programs as required.

• Perform various general accounting functions such as journal entries, account reconciliations, allocations,  special reports, and forecasting.

• Assist in the monthly financial close and associated reporting and templates as required.

• Conduct a weekly review of payroll time to ensure accuracy, and facilitate control and management of payroll cost by providing payroll analytics and training to department managers

• Facilitate inventory processes, including setting standard costs, cycle counts, variance and allocation analysis, and ensuring accurate financial statements.

• Ensure internal controls are maintained and continuously improved. Engage with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.

• Analyze and understand cost variance implications, identify root causes and discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.

• Validate balanced production reported in both MES/ArcPlan and Peoplesoft.

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, investigate discrepancies, and provide explanations

• Maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs) and routings.

• Overall support of the Cost Accounting Manager(s).
